ECHO Comment: "Fears of Witch-hunt Against Liverpool FC"

Its horrible they play a game tonight here in Brisbane Australia - media crap about them been building up about them over the last few days.

Lots of chat about how wonderful it is to have them here - how magical it will be when they start the dirge.

They game is even being televised live - prime time free to air TV on a major network!!!.

Kopites coming out of the woodwork all over the shop

However - this comment by the local police advising of traffic around the stadium made me chuckle

" A full house expected as the once mighty Liverpool FC take on the once mighty Roar"

Followed by a few comments of "What do you mean once mighty Liverpool #YNWA" or similar - however there were more agreeing with that and laughing at them :)

It's currently Brisbane Roar 1-0 Liverpool after 26 mins.

Goal! Brisbane Roar 1 - 0 Liverpool (Petratos)
17 min: Some fine feet from Dimi Petratos, it’s a cutback from the left and the winger-cum-midfielder has made Skrtel look a t*t and stroked it comfortably into the bottom left corner!

Mignolet no chance - that’s an early upset for the apple-cart!

I didn't know Liverpool were in the country. There's a pre-season thing starting here in Melbourne tomorrow with Real Madrid,
Man City, Roma and A League side Melbourne City - used to be Melbourne Heart until City bought them for whatever reason.
I saw Everton beat them here a few years ago.

I only found out that Liverpool were here about an hour ago when a presenter on a non-sport show asked her panel if they knew that
there were people planning to meet in Brisbane tonight to sing the old Gerry and the Pacemakers song, YNWA. What's that about?
