or massive debt...

Or other clubs giving them crazy money for grossly overrated players

50m for a finished Torres (pre-FSG maybe actually), 49 for Sterling. 32m for a 1 in 2 striker is probs worth a go, but I think he is a flat track bully.

Hahaha... they win the lottery by selling Sterling for three times his worth, and spunk almost the lot of it on paying massively over the odds on Benteke.

Lovely stuff. They never learn.

Far from stealing £49M from Man City's back pocket this authoritative publication suggests that the RS sold him too cheaply.. :)

http://www.football-observatory.com/-Publications,18-

Download the June Transfer Value and it shows Sterling at 74-81 Million Euro (£52-56M at today's rate) - some of the figures do add up when you look at the value for Messi, Ronaldo etc (Lukaku £28-31M) but Mirallas is apparently only £4-5M (taking into account the time left on his contract).

I'd love it if they land Benteke. It has all the hallmarks of a manager who's thought: "he's been great against us, I think we could do with him" about it.

Blows hot and cold and always looks the type who'll turn up when it suits him. Poor man's Lukaku for me. He'll get goals for them, but they haven't landed that type of player who can propel them into CL places.

Firmino, Origi, Benteke.

They wouldn't get more than a handful of games at City of Chelsea, and United and Arsenal wouldn't make them starters either.

What's that now? Another £80M they've handed to Brendan to throw in the money pit?

Hilarious.

The Real reason Sterling was got rid of...

from popbitch.com

Last week we told you that
Raheem Sterling's table
decided to go against everyone
else in the room and stay
seated through the standing
ovation for Steven Gerrard's
Outstanding Contribution
Award at the Liverpool
players' end of season dinner
last month. "No!" people
said. "That can't be right.
Not even Raheem would dare
to do that."

It's true though. And here
are the photos that show it:

Sterling Work
Here's everyone giving Steven Gerrard a standing ovation as he received his lifetime achievement award...

…well, everyone except for one table.

I think Beneteke is boss but not sure if he'll fit that system for some reason. I think the big thing about him that you have to worry about is injuries. With Sterling to City for 200k/week and 50M and Beneteke at 32.5 (maybe more if Man United get in the bidding) that Rom deal is looking better and better every day.

TBH Benteke would probably do really well at United
