Actually feel bad for Rickie. Grafted his way to the top flight. Had a decent season with Southampton. Gets the chance to sign for his boyhood club and then gets left to rot for most of the season while a winger gets played up front in his place. Hopefully he can bang one in against them and then give Rodgers a dirty sanchez

It was his own fault. He should have stayed where he was both wanted and appreciated........

He was basically the smokescreen good news story the RS needed at the time, having bottled the league and sold their best player, from beetroot packer to boyhood club to World Cup squad etc etc

man city have been a bigish club for about 3 years - it's hardly an accomplishment. Like you say really, who cares? these are all fans who never actually come and support their team so they're contributing nothing - most of them buy cheap knock off merchandise which doesn't go towards the club either. i mean if you met them on holiday you wouldn't be able to have a proper conversation with them about your club because they're those people who say "yeah, i like football i support manchester united/liverpool" just to say it.
