ECHO Comment: "Fears of Witch-hunt Against Liverpool FC"

Bored at work and listening to talksport for the larfs. Libberpewl fans calling in and talking unbelievable nonsense.

It was great, Talksport were taking the piss out of all of them as well.

Loved the kopite that said next year is their year and then ended up settling for 2nd favourites for the title, followed by one that said they will be top 4 without a doubt, probably top 3.

The only thing that worrys me is that is brendan gets it all wrong and gets sacked, the next man they appoint actually builds a good team out of what they have. There is some talent there, just won't be able to be a team under the guy there now.

but markovic/Can/Benteke/Firminho/Couthino to be more specific are actually decent players

Kolo Toure having a right laugh with the media today. They've managed to convince themselves, again.

"Benteke is a great player," Toure told the Liverpool Echo. "I see so much talent in this squad. So much will be played in the mind.

"If we are strong mentally then I don't think anyone can beat us with the team the manager has built."
the last part in bold is obviously laughable but I think they've had a decent window. Clyne is quality , firminho has potential though a big fee . Milner is a great signing and if used right and he stays fit benteke will do damage BUT that is all great for them . It's whether the Brighton rapists dad can find a way to use benteke . Still think they'll fall short of the champions league .

They;ve undoubtedly ammassed a very decent squad now, and they've surely got to click sooner or later.

My genuine fear, like most others above, is that Rogers makes a mess of it all, gets hoofed on his ear and they bring in a genuinely top manager such as Kloppe. That;s a doomsday-type scenario for us, but it's actually not that far from being a reality.

they have a couple of decent buys, with benteke, and milner/ clyne dont know enough about firminho to judge but they are stronger this year than last, can see them doing well, top six

Mingolet - "Bonjour world class Benteke, welcome to Melwood"

Benteke - "Bonjour world class Mingolet, thank you for your warm welcome. Bonjour world class Skrtel I hope my peg is not next to you my world class new friend I can change my own shirts thanks you"

Skrtel - "haha no dat is okay Benteke my new world class comrade I'm over here by world class Studgie, world class Coutinho where's new world class Benteke's peg?.."

Coutinho - <shrugs shoulders> "World class who?"

Skrtel - "haha don't worry world class Benteke, world class Coutinho doesn't know the Englishness for world class"

Lucas - "world class Benteke why don't you take this peg between me and captain Hendo.."

Captain Hendo not world class?

Burn him!

On an unrelated note, those on our favourite forum are spending hours making cute songs about us again. Dunno where they find the time, it's almost as if they don't have jobs.

Can't underestimate how big a loss Gerrard will be, even though he was declining. Losing a club legend and captain will take its toll. Plus, sold their best player. If Firmino doesn't come in and hit the ground running straight away, I think Brendy will be in trouble come Christmas.

Anyone know a good Wind Dance along the lines of the Indian Rain dance? If we kept the breeze up for a few weeks, that would cause no end of humour. A good breeze will suffice rather than a howling gale.

Planned work to hoist the huge truss that would support the roof of Anfield’s redeveloped Main Stand has been postponed.

The decision to call off the major operation, which was expected to take around eight hours, was made on safety grounds due to the wind speed.

With work scheduled to start at 7.30am the decision was delayed as construction experts monitored wind speeds and the weather forecast.

The call to postpone the operation was made just after 9am and a new date for the work has not been confirmed.
