They've convinced themselves they are 4th in their alternative league........

what are they based on mate?

That's a card they can never play again after Suarez Klangate...and it's one they had a cheek playing in any case given their historical racist policy toward Irish players.

I think it was more a sectarian policy towards certain Irish players rather than a racist one.

Worshipful Brothers McKenna and Houlding signed a whole load of "Macs" from Scotland to form the first RS teams, and I am sure some of them had direct or close roots in Ireland. Probably more at home on Netherfield Road than Scottie though!!

As for Diouf, I am afraid I cannot take anything he says with any gravitas given his career record of disgraceful behaviour.

I just hope FSG are around for many more years to come as LFC owners. They'll never get back to the top under them. They require a sale to a person or group who have City-level reserves of spending capacity. They're well capable of attracting one too. It is just a matter of time before that happens unfortunately.

Hopefully our dead weight is shifted soon enough and we can find some level of investment ourselves.
Honestly they have more than enough funds to be a top 4 regular. More than Arsenal anyway. The fact that they've managed to balls it up this badly over the past 5-6 years makes it even more hilarious.

Set to rumble on this one.

Lawyers acting for Gerrard said their client denied the reported allegations made by Diouf.

They said: ‘The allegations in those alleged statements are completely false and seriously defamatory of our client’.

Diouf was/is a scumbag, but I reckon he's right about Gerrarrd. He looks like a snide BNP fellow traveller.

They do, and they should be top four every season. But they need a City/Chelsea boost (as any team who wants to be at the top does) of half a billion in a couple of seasons plus a top up of about £200M for the following two seasons.

That's the reality for success these days (CL success and PL success)

They have a lot of money but they are not signing world class players, they are buying players like milner and giving him top tier wages. They have to try and buy more types of coutinhos

lol at dioufs quotes, what an absolute tit.

‘He hasn’t achieved what I have in football. When I came to Liverpool, I came with the status of a big boss and he just lived there.

‘I am respected in world football, the greatest football experts have appointed me among the seven best players in the World Cup, the top 100 players of the century.

‘Several big players do not belong. Everywhere I go out of my country, they worship me.’

Are they diouf's quotes, or are they from whiston's bravest? I really can't tell because it's all 'I, I, I, I."

coutinho's not world class - he's bang average more often than not, he's just head and shoulders above the vast majority of their squad. when those players are from southamptons, this is the main reason for that. he got about 4 goals and 4 assists last season, they should be buying players twice as good as coutinho given the money they're spending, but alas they're just nowhere near good enough to attract them anymore.

Think he meant in terms of the price they paid. What was it, £8m ish? Decent player for that these days.

They try to determine what result they should get and apportion what they call 'par' to it. They then work out whether they have achieved what they should have done and either mark up or down. It's a joke really as it's based on one mans opinion of future results. Anyway it always shows the RS doing better than the league says, right up until they would look stupid if they kept believing it........or something like that, I cba really.......
