they never challenged for the league once under benitez. he's a cup manager - he hasn't been good in the league for years - how on earth he landed the madrid gig is beyond me. If he wins the league it shows that anyone can win it with a team such as real, the team picks itself.

Yes they did mate. The season Macheda scored the winner against Villa when it was getting close. I remember it because RAWK had loads of posts like -

'Beware Meester Ferguson because the red men are coming over the hill and we're not going away'

Granted it wasn't as funny as the implosion last season but it was still superb.
