ECHO Comment: "Fears of Witch-hunt Against Liverpool FC"

haha tubes playing a blinder, seriously why do they constantly compare themselves to man united, they are nowhere near that level, they seriously need to realise that and start threads about how close they are to fulham etc. because we will be a good 7/8 points if not more over them come the end of the season - you don't see us starting threads like are we really that close to barcelona?? (ignore the people saying we had a chance of winning the league).

Sure, they’re in second now, but have they actually faced anybody decent besides ourselves and Tottenham yet? No, and they lost to Everton and Southampton also ran them pretty close.

hmm, so the team in 4th aren't decent, but the team in 14th provided a whole set of different questions - remind me of the results in both matches.

So when I look over their squad and see players like Smalling, Jones, De Gea, Kagawa, Nani, Anderson and Young (all expensive and yet to convince) and stalwarts that are clearly past it like Scholes, Ferdinand and Giggs, I smile to think of the much smaller fees we paid for much higher quality players such as Skrtel, Agger, Reina, Allen, Sterling, Lucas and Shelvey, and the experienced veterans that we can still call upon such as Carragher and Gerrard.

honestly don't know where to start - kagawa is quality, scholes and giggs always perform when asked of but yet carragher and gerrard are the ones who are not past it :S

They’re above us in the league, of course, but it’s very early days and 9 points can be made up easily at this point.

so, it's taken them 7 games (4 at home) to get to 6 points, but 9 points could be made up with the click of a finger.

but at present there are only two things I am envious of Utd for: Van Persie and their current league position. In terms of our squads, ours is the better equipped – for both this season, but particularly future ones – and once we hit form, we should chase them down pretty quickly.

how many youngsters have looked good in their debut season and flattered to decieve? united have a lot of youngsters like rafael, jones and smalling who IMO have proved very good for a good few years already nevermind in the future, whilst sterling and shelvey have had about 5 good games between them and have shown liverpool will be better than united for years to come :S

John Barnes - "Suarez twists and turns more than anyone I've ever seen in the world and as a result of that he falls over and slips a lot.â€￾

I'm pretty sure this "twist and turns" comment is the new official line from them as I saw an Ian Ayre on SSN saying te same thing this morning. All the ex-R's will be spouting this at every opportunity now.

The thing i'm getting from these comments, and those of Brenda, is that its finally dropping on them that he is a diving little rat, and they're trying to avoid/cover this up

They historically tend to do that rather well mate, unfortunately the meeja tend to lap it all up and turn it around to the RS advantage.

When Barnes said he hadn't seen it, the interviewer should have said; "yeah whatever John, where did spend the weekend, Afghanistan? & given that you've supposedly not seen it, then why do you feel you're the right man to speak about it?" then thrown the mic down, gobbed on the floor & stormed off shouting about the size of his waist & that he was shiite at Celtic.......or is that just me?

Yeah, you just know that they'll get their usually r's rent-a-quotes (aldo, rush, macateer) etc out of storage, interview outside the anfield gates and get them spouting this crap

im sure somone in the room would have had a phone on them with unlimited internet access, could have shown him the vid there and then. same as they should do with manager's post match interviews. rodgers saying he hadn't seen it was laughable, where was he looking

Ladies and Gentlemen I feel that they have just given us an absolute gem.

It seems that Liver-put-their-name-to-anything-pool have decided to move into the confectionery market.....yeah i know, you can't have feck'n nowt.
We are known worldwide as the Toffees, deriving our nickname from the wonderfully sticky Everton Mint, but referred to by them as"'Bitters," well it seems that they have decided to do things the other way around, in creating something from a whole bunch of E numbers and giving it a name appropriate to themselves

I give you the wonderfully appropriately named..............
