@RAWK_Meltdown: I was surprised to hear Rodgers call (Joe) Allen the 'Welsh Xavi'. Think he's more of an Iniesta personally.

@RAWK_Meltdown: (Joe Allen) I think he is more Xavi than Iniesta. Xavi controls the game, like Allen.

hehe, he didn't even control wales vs scotland

just been having a look at RAWK, its amazing how positive everyone on there is..they seem to have some of the greatest youth players in the world coming through, suarez doesnt dive, rodgers can do wrong..you'd think they were in the top 4...if we were in their situation it would be fume central on GOT, the difference really is incredible

59 caps.

So what? Despite the stick he gets, you do not get anywhere near the Prem without being decent, and you certainly dont play for Utd for many seasons without being more than decent. Like I said, a cap is awarded in the opinion of one man. More than one England Manager rated Phil good enough to play or be sub 59 times as a fullback.

Le Tissier only got 8 caps, and I think most would say he was a more gifted player than Phil, but, for whatever reason, he didnt get picked, probably because most managers didnt really know how to fit him in. (Or, maybe, because he played for Southampton?)

Fekkin love GOT. This thread goes everywhere!

if he was valuable to man u he would never have been released by them for international duty 59 times. how many caps did handball hansen get? not too many i`ll wager and he was supposedly one of the best defenders to ever grace a park.

Thats a fair enough point re Hansen & Scotland, apparently shared by Stein and Fergie before the Mexico WC as well......

Trouble is, pretty sure Dalgish, Souness, Rooney, Beckham, Lampard, Drogba, Berkamp, Viera, Pele, Maradona, Messi, etc etc etc all have, probably, more than 50 caps at international level, and are/were pretty valuable to their clubs.

Beautiful:

@RAWK_Meltdown: Couldnt have been Man U in Citys group could it? What is actually going on with that? Its every year, like Demento (Ferguson) handpicks it

When your 'chief of communications' uses your fans' level of insanity as a threat to other supporters, then you have a serious problem.

They are the shame of Merseyside.

Their patience will soon wear out.

They think they're sat watching the birth of a football dynasty, they've convinced themselves that the combination of Rodgers & the kids that have been forced into the first team due to lack of summer investment, is a master plan. Once reality hits home & they realise that he's just full of **** & the kids aren't the 'best in the world coz Pep said so', then they'll start to fume.
