ECHO Comment: "Fears of Witch-hunt Against Liverpool FC"

Why would you bother mate? We all know therse ****loads of deluded Kopies (just go onto RAWK), and from every club in fairness. The clubs that think themselves bigger usually tend to have more deluded fans. Because they have been successful in the past, they tend to think that entitles them to some now and will use any reason to justify why they aren't. I go to Uni in Newcastle, and you'd think they were challenging for the Prem every year the way some go on, even when they were relegated not so long ago and haven't even got a really impressive history.

I happen to think that the song is offensive and it wouldn't have been made without the past of the Hillsborough (got very strong feeling on that... know people involved etc) and the fact that Liverpool fans do think about it's Hillsborough, even when it might not be directly, is probably part of the reason some Utd fans sing it.

Just because it winds you up and you know it's true doesn't make it offensive to the Hillsborough victims and families. It isn't when it's sung by Evertonians. End of. Evertonians were affected by Hillsborough too. Show a little bit of respect where it's due. Any liverpool fan with half a brain could work out that it doesn't mean Hillsborough.

Absolutely true Paul - BUT they will use it as an excuse to be all hurt and stuff...

I actually doubt it'd end up being used against us on a noticeable scale. At least I would hope not. Surely they wouldn't sink that low? Using the tragedy as a means to sour the rep of fans who have done so much to support the campaign for justice would be some way to thank the club for all their support wouldn't it?

I remember them saying that we'd apparently made squashed faces at them last season, which was absolute bollocks.

Nothing is beneath them

Well, there'll always be idiots and liars on both sides, but that's on a very small scale. What I doubt is that a significant portion of the fanbase would think we could go from putting on a moving tribute of support at Goodison and observing perfect minutes of silence at Wembley to all of a sudden blaming them for the whole thing.

some idiot that is comparing it to a South Walean affair said:
[h=3]Brendan Rodgers insists Liverpool’s young stars can handle a fiery Merseyside derby ahead of the Reds’ trip to Goodison Park on Sunday.[/h]The Liverpool manager has persevered with the club’s promising youngsters in recent weeks, with Jonjo Shelvey, Raheem Sterling, Suso and Andre Wisdom all featuring as results have improved.

Rodgers revealed he has spoken to Steven Gerrard and Jamie Carragher ahead of their clash against the Toffees, and the Reds boss is fully aware of the significance of winning the Merseyside derby.
“It’s been interesting talking to those guys [about the derby] and it’s clearly a wonderful occasion,†he added.
“I was involved in the derby between Swansea and Cardiff City and that’s a ferocious derby. A real game for the supporters. In Liverpool [the derby] means everything.

He has absolutely no idea about what he is about to face up to on Sunday, I hope there's a song aimed at him as well as the blatantly obvious "Those babies are yours" to dribble [Poor language removed] Sterling. Must be some Halloween Spesh for Shelvey as well.
