I think in Carrararararara's case it's meant to refer to pounds overweight instead of pounds per week.

I don't know how Sterling manages to make ends meet on 5k a week. After he pays out child support he must have to take out a wonga loan.

Deluded kopites thinking that Huntelaar is on his way there in January

'koff

haha, do they still think he'll be partnering david villa? cant believe carragher is on that much wedge, embarassing, agger's on 15k less and he always has been twice as good as him, even in his prime, never mind now when he's in his 40's

I'd be devastated if they got Huntelaar - and I can actually see it happening. The owners will be keen to make amends for what happened in August in terms of transfers.

They'll sign a striker in January and if they have to I think they'll throw mental money away to do so.

I think he only costs £20m or something too. That, and £150-200k and a week contract will secure him.

My hope is that the owners have pulled out the rug and won't invest money, but I think they will...

They wont pay that kind of money for him, he is too old and too expensive - at least in terms of moneyball - and they wont be able to get into the CL automatically with him in the team. If they had a brain, they would go for someone like Marcus Berg who they could get cheaply, who could be absolutely boss, and yet who would score buckets in that side.

Just looked up Berg - he's literally the definition of a player who looks good only in Holland. He's only three years younger than Huntelaar too.

So yeah I agree with you, they should sign him! If nothing else it could be a textbook example of why this "Moneyball" crap doesn't work in football.

Absolutely no chance he'll go to Liverpool.

He's old, would be expensive, and most importantly he thinks he's good enough to be Holland's number one striker. No chance that ego will be happy slogging it out in the Europa every Thursday.

Rodgers has been crying about squad depth so i see him getting 2 or 3 moderately expensive players in. They're not going to throw £20m at one player.

He will probably try sign whoever plays upfront for Swansea oh wait didn't he send Lucas out with his analyst because he is tactically aware , what a bellend .

Thats the thing though, if someone can get into Berg's head and fix him he could be absolutely amazing, he would be a lot cheaper than they would have to pay for anyone else, and he is a perfect fit for what they want in that side.
