Thanks Liverpool. Thanks for teaching every football fan everything you know about mobilisation and leading all of British football fandom to their victories over the capitalist scum class.
*looks at corporate domination...looks at feet...shakes head*
They'll be cueing up to condemn their owners next summer for not spending the usual £150M on players.I admire them for standing against their owners. I do think it's a bit hypocritical though, a lot of the lads supporting it were the sane ones mocking us for not having rich owners/ having more international fans.
The issue for them that they don't get though, is that the same capitalist scum class they are fighting against are inherently linked to the club. Without sky television, American money and day tripper fans they would be akin to a West Brom. They have a fantastic history (as do we) but in the model world it counts for little. If they scare away the capitalists they will have to revert back to their original position, the second biggest team in a regional city.
In all honesty that doesn't bother me. However the lack of glamour and glitz will destroy them. They want their cake and want to eat it. The fact that so many of them still won't come out and openly admit their out of town supporters are embarrassing and have taken the club from it's scouse roots is hilarious.
MY position on it is the same as the Germans had in WW1 in relation to Lenin. They stuck him on a first class train back to Russia. We should be cheering on the opposition, the more divided the club gets the better.
I for one applaud their random campaigns for whatever the delusional think is most important thing this week. They'll be cueing up to condemn their owners next summer for not spending the usual £150M on players.
They cant be taken seriously. There's no half way house on offer: you're either against corporatism in football or you just accept it and move on and hope that your club has its snout more firmly in the trough than other clubs.
Protesting at ticket hikes but demanding players out of the reach of other clubs' finances is sheer hypocrisy.
Black flags FFS! As soon as I seen that I knew this was just a massive pose.
They cant help themselves. They're the biggest media whores in world football....about the only thing about them that is world class.
Against Modern Football......but they don't mind half a billion spent on their team by a couple of Yank consortiums 'raping them'.I for one applaud their random campaigns for whatever the delusional think is most important thing this week.
Long may their fans be against the owner of their club and backing the idiot manager they pretty much installed that they can't now criticize.
Long may they hate their owners for spending hundreds of Millions on useless 'World Class' players who wouldn't get get in our squad (let alone team), that we picked up fo buttons and will make a massive profit on when WE decide they can go.
Comedy Gold the lot of it.
Not sure if Im allowed to post pics off twitter but the jist of it is he is pictured with a couple of 'waitresses' in a Hooters type bar, then also sat next to them at the match.
Kopites going crazy about whether or not they paid for their tickets !
Soz lads you're not allowed a life or any sort of enjoyment if you take a job at a football club as there's tens of thousands of executive to hold you accountable for every action you take.
I might warm to Elstone a wee bit if he went away with Everton and blagged two Hooters girls into going the game with him.
seriously who the hell cares he got some birds to come to the match? arye probably has free guests tickets to every game anyways. Also all this outrage over 200 tickets in a brand new stand is so overblown. They're acting as if every seat in the ground is now 77 pounds minimumSoz lads you're not allowed a life or any sort of enjoyment if you take a job at a football club as there's tens of thousands of executive to hold you accountable for every action you take.
