ECHO Comment: "Fears of Witch-hunt Against Liverpool FC"

FSG, in the next four windows that their price freeze is in place, can now just trim transfer budgets and keep more cash than they could have hoped to have collected through increases to ticket prices...and they'll get no stick (or fewer giving them stick) because they know they have a perfect excuse in place: the fans wanted it this way. "Want us to compete with those above us? Our hands are tied on that".

It's a pyrrhic victory, and in any case just on £60 now is hardly that much better.

The Carraghers and Fowlers now praising FSG are the most cynical of all.

That category thing is just as bad as the 77 pound tickets to me. To go to every single game next season still costs more than it does this season. Not much of a price freeze.

See carragher had a dig, apparently he went to view the new stand at the pit,and remarked "Goodisn looks quite small from up here" the tit, makes you wonder why he goes to watch Everton, most probably cos it's a freebie .

and for LFC to begin repaying the £120million advance from FSG for the new Main Stand that these increases were supportable even in the context of growth in revenues from the new Premier League TV deal.

Notice nobody mentioned this little quote from FSG. So they can't raise extra money from gates, tv money won't fully cover it - then it will be the transfer budget and wage bill ! £120 million is quite a loan - and no interest rate mentioned either. This loan could be a nice little earner for FSG

Haven't they now also done away with categorising the matches, so everyone is Cat A.........Expect all the tat in the shops to go up 10%........

Their own pitch will look quite small from all the way up there. It'll probably be the only stand that comes with oxygen bottles.......
