ECHO Comment: "Fears of Witch-hunt Against Liverpool FC"

Just had a little trawl of the rawk Everton thread. Funny how die hard reds from South Africa are calling scousers thick, and they don't seem to understand the snobbery when they imply we'll mock those in council houses alongside the Mancs, despite all blues supposedly living in council houses..

Apparently one of the RS phoned into talksport after Leicester beat Newcastle.......

Most people were generous to Leicester.....

Apart from this curmudgeonly Liverpool fan, that is.

Calling in to talkSPORT after Leicester's 1-0 win over Newcastle last night, one Reds fan basically laid into the league-leaders. Not only did he say that The Foxes will "embarrass the Premier League" in Europe next season, he also made the outlandish claim that Riyad Mahrez WOULDN'T get into Liverpool's current team........
Welll of course he wouldn't: he's a world class player picked up for peanuts; that lot prefer to pay 'world-class' amounts for players who worth peanuts.

Fella who rang in backs up my theory on the RS: they're dead bitter about ANY other team doing well and can't bring themselves to offer credit where it's due cos they think they're entitled to win everything. The irony of the most bitter fans in world football calling us "the bitters" never ceases to amaze/amuse me.

The lurkers have been reading again. Unfortunately can't sign up on RAWK to put a few things straight to them. I'd happily offer to meet them at the match to do so, but you know most of them don't go. Long trip from the Home Counties and all that.

A few of them seem to be confused that we "can't sell out". They seem to struggle with the concept of 1- away fans not selling seats, 2- segregation reducing capacity and 3-obstructed views. Every game this season we have sold all seats with no obstructed view. For most games we sell all seats out, the ones that are empty are generally away supporters. That rather straightforward argument will be like Mad Max trying to get his head around nuclear physics.

The Red since 986 bloke, you posted the final bit of my post but cowardly omitted the bit about reds desecrating the memory of Hillsborough victims. Why don't you have a bit of dignity and put it on there? That reds fans are lying and trying to stir up trouble, without any consent from the victims families in order to score points on a forum about Hillsborough?

As a final point in question the "winning without winning" needs to be addressed. This is from the club that celebrates heroic penalty kick wins when they finished 4th to enter a competition designed for league winners. A club that organised a league winners celebration and advertised for jobs before they'd even won the league!
A club that in 1996 went ballistic when Robbie Fowler scored an equalising goal in a Merseyside Derby. All fairly concrete evidence of "winning without winning". Can anyone enlighten me on what our "winning without winning" nonsense is, other than celebrating a 25 yard screamer in the last minute of a game? MPlease for the love of god don't tell me that is the central basis of that nonsense? Even for their neandarthal minds that is illogical.

Finally the "singing anti-scouse songs" with mancs at Wembley. Well a little history lesson for you again. I've never met an Evertonian make an anti-scouse statement. Same can't be said for Liverpool fans though, many round here regularly use the "you're just the scouse team" in an insulting way. We regularly give said Mancs a good hiding (see battle of Everton Valley, and don't you dare try and take any credit for the hammering we gave them) while your out of town wools do nothing to stop them.

You are the club who booooo the scouse players in United's team. The club that celebrated with songs when a scouse lad Rooney left Everton to join United (who can remember the "once a blue always a red" chants as you joyfully lapped up a local lad joining said hated Mancs). Cheered on the mancs in 85 just as 100% of your posters who said they would pick a team have said they would cheer United on at Wembley this year.

As a club you have regularly shown no history of doing anything other than cheering for Mancs over Evertonian at every given opportunity, and openly celebrating football players who denigrate Liverpools first football club while in a Manc shirt. So please don't try and give me a history lesson on scouse solidarity, as you are the biggest scabs going if such a thing existing. You have prostituted your club to American owners, Norwegian tourists and home Counties beauts who fill the majority of your stadium. Your match day squad regularly fields no scouse players. Your youth academy is filled with lads from outside of the area and regularly gets hammered by ours who are predominately local lads. You have allowed your club to be run for, by and in the interests of out of towners (the sort of beauts on RAWK) so much so they price you out of going to the match and mock you when you try to stand up and do something about it.

I am not against a solidarity amongst scousers. What you don't seem to grasp is you are not a scouse club anymore. You are an international team that plays in Liverpool. I feel sympathy for the locals (vault my previous posts in support of your protest over prices if you must) which is more than can be said about your out of town support who welcomed the price rises so they could buy the tickets that locals couldn't afford.

No team is perfect. My club isn't. But drop the "we're more scouse than you rubbish" when it is patently untrue. The lies and deceipt you descend too need to be challenged openly with facts.

Against for the coward who put up part of the post on RAWK. I dare you to put all of the post up this time. You won't because you know what I am saying is true, and the truth shines a light on the bitter narks that you all are and puts to shame the sleuth of lies you engage in!

Applying any form of logic to them would be wasted, but I wouldn't let them get to you as it just makes them feel good....

Wait till they play their bitter rivals Leicester next season how will they compete against cooked in sunflower oil clubs

Do we have a complete list of their 'Bitter Rivals'....apart from us, Man Utd, Man City, Arsenal, Chelsea, Spurs, West Ham, Barcodes, now Leicester, R.Madrid, or any decent team in Europe.......I've never known a club that has to be the centre of attention no matter who the opposition are..........

Basically anybody who has a modicum of success

The fume levels have gone through the roof on RAWK ever since we became rich.:D It's nice to know that they are afraid now that we have the financial muscle to compete with them. They have good reason to be afraid. As for this talk about a soft run to the final we beat that lot and Man United back when both clubs had decent sides back in the 2009 FA cup for all the good it did us in the end. They know the FA cup is in our grasp and once we land a trophy then i think things will really take off for us.We have a talented team.We have a manager who has his flaws but is of the mentality that Everton FC bow down to no one and we have a squad full of players that they salivate over.Since 1990 all Liverpool have had to shout about is finishing above their cash strapped neighbours. Now the landscape has changed. We have the resources to reclaim our place as kings of English football and relegate Liverpool FC to their pre Shankly days status of mere peasants and nobodies.:D

Here's one for the RAWK lurkers
