They are already rich aren't FSG worth over a combined 6 billion dollars according to Forbes.

Probably attracting this attention from the ME because the stadium issue is resolved with 2 stands being expanded,so that would be attractive to any billionaire potential buyers as they won't need to fund a 400 million pound stadium from scratch. And commerically they wouldn't need overhauling like say a PSG or City who were lets be honest were not big clubs before they were bought so that is saving money there with not having to have owner linked massive commercial deals.700 million would be a bargain for a Sheikh, match day revenue strong from expansion commercially strong and the the massive tv deal,i'm surprised WHU have not got any ME interest with the olympic stadium move and being a London team.
Posing as a fan of your team's rival is just sad mate.

This fella is Mad Max lads. The guy who can't get his head around the idea of restricted view seats and post attendances up every game often followed with a laugh. We could do the same thing too, posting up their attendance figures and point out they've never beaten (or even come close) to our record attendances when we regularly had over 70k in (and upwards of 78k in in some games). It would be the behaviour of a sad, bitter pathetic lunatic though so nobody does. It fits rather perfectly for RAWK though.

As for the rest of your post. Forbes is known to be unreliable (something none of you could get your heads around). Having said that last time I checked Henry was allegedly worth about a billion with most of their interests being in a baseball team.

You may be doing the stands up, but lets be honest here Anfield is a shithole of a stadium in comparison to iconic new stadia. The expansion you are doing is merely polishing a turd. It would be the same as if we did it Goodison. It sounds blunt but neither ground is capable of being a world class venue, both need a new stadium. Completely daft that both clubs never made it happen.

700 million would be about right. That puts you at about 30% of the value of United and far closer to the value of Everton than United, which is fair reflection. Essentially a tiny club when compared to the big boys liked United. Sad times really, neither Merseyside team have won the league in a quarter of a century and we will both continue to slide into obscurity while that wait continued.

Anyway, enjoy your cup final tonight. You'll even have some double bubble on Saturday where your fans who wore the half and half scarves around Manchester can join up with the RAWK bitter to cheer on United at Wembley. Get your songs ready; "You scouse b@stards" "20 times 20 times Man United" "1 Michael Owen" and you can even do a rendition of YNWA holding up your half and half United/Liverpool scarves. It will be like the 85 cup final all over again :D .

As a final point, don't bother posting attendance figures up until you get more than 78k into your ground. It looks small time, even for Liverpool.

I've had a little gander on RAWK and they seem quite excited for their cup final.

What is making me laugh though, in despite us acknowledging we are having a truly terrible league season, with one of the most disliked managers in Everton's history, hardly won a game all year and then, with "the best manager in the world" who has been working miracles etc they are still only 3 places above us and are lapping it up as if finishing 3/4/5 places above this Everton team is some achievement worth celebrating.
It is the epitome of embarrassment and small time thinking. Maybe they'll have a victory parade for the 5/6/7th place trophy?

What's the most laughable thing is, that they view themselves as one of the elite teams. That they can be place themselves alongside United. United have had a truly awful season yet are above them in the league and are in the most prestigious cup competition semi final while they will be busy cheering them on. They have outperformed Liverpool this season with a manager they all hate and consider him to have massively underachieved. Yet Klopp is some genius we are all terrified of because he has funky glasses and a German accent?

United will sack Van Gaal for finishing 5th, yet Liverpool with celebrate Klopp for being 8th and being 3 places above the worst Everton team in 15 years. They are not a big team anymore, they are not even close. No amount of rich sponsorship deals, German tacky glasses or chants about the Munich disaster will change that.

anyone seen the unbearably cringeworthy video of their players quoting famous films ?

They celebrate Klopp because as hard as it is to admit they are showing signs of progress under him, whether he'll ever be able to win a title with them is one thing but there is no doubt they currently look a better side with him in charge than they did with brenton. plus they are in a semi final of the europa league with a bang average squad and have a good chance of qualifying for champs league if they can win it, which doesn't seem that unrealistic given the teams left in the competition. Id be feeling quite positive if we were in their situation.

why have they ever been allowed back into european competition? they've never admitted full responsibility for their mistakes during heysel. They just can't help themselves as "fans" - win, lose or draw, their fans will create utter havoc.
The worst is still to come, the final is in Basle with a ground capacity of 35k,there will be trouble ahead. You read it here first.

I do get that mate. I think the difficulty is though, it's very hard to get any sense of reality when you base things on their neurosis and idea of improvement. They don't deal in reality, they deal in perception and they perceive themselves to be doing great.

Currently they are 8th in the league (they may finish 7th or 6th) pretty much exactly the same as what they did under Rodgers last year. That is exactly the same. Big clubs sack their managers for finishing above that, but the blunt reality is, for most of their fans they no longer view themselves as a big club. Not deep down anyway. Could you imagine United celebrating Van Gaal, or Moyes finishing 8th?

As for the Europa League, this will soon become their latest "black is white" "2 + 2 = 5" moment and loyalty test. The truth is, it is a completely irrelevant trophy. It is the Zenith insurance cup of Europe where the crap of Europe, alongside the losers of the main competition get to compete. Chelsea sacked their manager after winning the thing for goodness sake. Sides will purposefully get knocked out of it rather than having to play games in it.

We'll do well to get that level of acknowledgement out of them though as it's how low they've fallen. They are a smaller club than Chelsea now in how they view this, but like the ignorant 8 year old throwing a tantrum it will be fingers in ears yelling "it has important, it is important" sobbing away deep down knowing that nobody cares about them anymore.

They just can't get the heads round the fact that nobody cares about the Europa League and in all honesty most Evertonians couldn't care less about this derby. It has become a cup final for them, to get alongside their 8th placed trophy filling the void that 26 years without winning the PL has done. To give some context to that, United have won more than double titles in that time than Liverpool managed in the first 70 years of their existence.

For all the blues out there, I would say enjoy the match today. We know it's a glorified testimonial tonight to get players some match fitness before the big match at Wembley on Saturday. For the rats that are lurking, don't worry yourselves too much. Cheer on your cup final and enjoy your mickey mouse cup semi final. Don't despair that you're not in a cup semi final that matters, ask your Norwegian fans to lend you a half and half United/Liverpool scarf and you can cheer for them in the semi's like you did in the 85 cup final. Saturday will not be a complete waste for you, and hopefully if you sing hard enough United might come through and win it for you! (And then sack their manager for finishing above you).

Don't the winners get into the CL this time around ?
