Trying to rob a banner off one of his own?

The beaked up dribbling simpleton.

When are those that have been elevated to super 'world class' status -Can, Coutinho, Firminho, Sturridge, Lallana and probably Clyne going to demand to leave for Champions League football?

Just been speaking to me arl fella. He's off to Old Swan. Told him about fanta scruff. He knows what to do if he sees him - even though me arl fella's a dirty red as well ;)

Old article but still extremely relevant.

OFFICIALS at UEFA last night launched their strongest attack yet on Liverpool FC fans – claiming they were the worst in Europe, in a report due to be handed to the Government.
OFFICIALS at UEFA last night launched their strongest attack yet on Liverpool FC fans – claiming they were the worst in Europe, in a report due to be handed to the Government.

Supporters across the city reacted with fury after it emerged the football governing body was to present a dossier to sports minister Richard Caborn.

The report, which has been compiled by undercover police, claims Liverpool fans have been involved in 25 incidents at away matches across the Continent over the last four years – more than any other team.

It says the trouble outside the Olympic Stadium – where the Champions League final was staged – was not an isolated incident.

People with counterfeit tickets managed to get into the ground, while some Liverpool fans with genuine tickets were forced to miss the match.

There were no turnstiles or stringent checks of tickets outside the ground, despite a warning from Liverpool chief executive Rick Parry a week before the game.

Uefa spokesman William Gaillard said: “The incidents involving Liverpool fans have been well known to us before the trouble at the Champions League final.

“That was just the latest example. What other set of fans steal tickets from their fellow supporters or out of the hands of children?

“We know what happened in Athens, and Liverpool fans were the cause of most of the trouble there.

“There have been 25 incidents involving Liverpool fans away from home since 2003 and these are in the report – most teams’ supporters do not cause any trouble at all.

“You must ask yourself why at the same match, with the same conditions, there was no trouble with the Milan fans – only the Liverpool fans.”

The report, which is said to de- tail all 25 incidents, has not been released. Liverpool Football Club last night defended its fans. A spokesman said: “The short- comings in the management of the situation in Athens were apparent to anyone who was there.

“These latest comments from Uefa should not deflect attention from that reality.”

Mr Gaillard’s comments caused anger among Liverpool fans, who demanded a full investigation into the events leading up to Liverpool’s defeat against AC Milan.

Les Lawson, secretary of the Official LFC Supporters Group, said: “This is typical of Uefa. Rather than look at their own shortcomings, they want to shove the blame somewhere else.

“The fact they are not willing to stand up and take responsibility is worrying for fans, because it means they will never learn from their mistakes.”

Council leader Warren Bradley said Uefa was “dragging Liverpool’s name through the mud to deflect attention from themselves”. He said: “It’s absolutely outrageous. Big governing bodies like Uefa always look for scapegoats and never accept any blame

“There should be a full and appropriate investigation. There is very little information about what actually went wrong.

“It was only a small minority who caused problems, but the people at the top of Uefa think they have a divine right to criticise people.”

Liverpool fan Cllr Peter Millea, who travelled to Athens to watch his tea, last night said he was appalled by Uefa’s latest “trick”.

He said: “It seems whenever there is anything to do with English fans, they can pile the blame on us. That sort of behaviour does happen with fans from other countries. You only have to look at the trouble between Denmark and Swedish fans over the weekend.

“They got it wrong. In Istanbul, many more fans travelled to watch the final and there was no trouble.”

Lord Mayor Cllr Paul Clark, who was at the game in Athens to represent the city, said the comments were disgraceful.

He said: “Uefa appears to be trying to avoid the blame for the disorganisation of the final. To make matters worse, instead of looking at its own faults, Uefa is blaming the people of Liverpool.

“Saying this is typical of Liverpool fans is unfair and reflects badly on the image of the city.”

Phil Hammond, of the Hillsborough Justice Support Group, has spoken out against Liverpool fans who ran riot outside the Olympic Stadium, but says Uefa were not justified in their latest comments.

He said: “We condemn that behaviour. But it was not helped by the way the police acted, they made it worse. Uefa are not justified in making these comments.”

Really funny watching that final, all week we had Liverpool fans rubbing it in our faces about our lack of success for 21 years - a fact btw we must admit hurts because it is that - fact.

Now that they have lost two finals in one season, they get back in our faces saying how bitter we are, how they are superior etc etc you get the point.

For any lurkers here let me put this in a nice way, removing all rivalry and 'bitterness', here goes:

For 21 years we have been reminded that we are poor - we admit that ourselves. When somebody has success and they handle it in a decent, humble, appreciative way, everyone including rivals will say well done, deserved that. See Leicester for example.

When you do nothing but put down everyone around you with your success being arrogance, self entitlement, patronising and just down right hate for everyone 'beneath you' those very same people will no doubt wait for your failure.
Right now you have won one trophy in 10 years, Everton have to go back 21 years for the very same. Difference is you have spent about £600m in 10 years and god knows how much more in the 21 years since we last tasted glory.

For £600m plus I would expect more than a league cup. Failure is a funny concept, Everton have failed for 21 years, Liverpool 10 years. In terms of money to success however, Liverpool have failed to meet their League objective, Everton have had to survive with far less, both failures in one sense but also successful in what they have achieved, Everton done well to survive and Liverpool have won more cups.

Both sets of fans need to realise that we are BOTH underachieving, the difference is Everton are bitter for pointing it out to Liverpool, yet Liverpool can point it out for 21 years and its okay.

Moral of the story is don't give it if you cant take it. You lined yourself up before the game and Everton simply gave you a taste of your own medicine after it, people in glass houses - you know the rest.

They've had 2 final defeats, we've had 2 semi defeats. They've finished 3 place above us in the league. Despite the Klopperlution and our desperately awful season they've not much to lord over us.

I find it a bit odd that certain fans obviously want success but oppose what comes with it, which inevitably would be an increased fan base from different areas of the world.

If we started winning stuff I wouldn't give a [Poor language removed] who supports us.

Well said Paul, lots of armchairs here giving it the big one before the game and afterwards resorting to insults, they really can't take it but I've give it them all the same, shown no mercy.KAGS

The thing is Jay, I spoke to lads from work who are good lads, when we went to the semi in the fa cup, they were saying they hope we do it, they hope we get to feel the feeling they had in Istanbul. So when Liverpool win, I don't like it as they are our rivals, but I am happy for the lads because I can only dream of that winning feeling.

The Absoloute beauts who mention Everton in every sentence followed by: anyway we don't care your crap, small club, 21 years blah blah blah are the ones that cause the friction between fans. Usually they sit at home on social media giving us a hard time until nights like Wednesday happen, they then say the same things but with more hate and venom.
Until they learn to ignore Everton's business, they cannot expect Everton to keep their noses out of Liverpool's.
I really do hope Liverpool go 21 years without a trophy, to then see Everton winning again would kill them, even though they say they don't care.

Indeed, if you've got some really close mates who are kopites, the self-aware sound ones then you have to be happy for them despite how much you utterly loathe Liverpool getting any success.

However, just a note on the semi... we were playing United, which despite what many won't admit is the reason they wanted us to win. Had we got beat by Watford, West Ham or Palace they'd have been laughing their heads off.
