Well we were spectacularly crap. I'm more surprised at the score line that we scored 3 and they didn't get more.

  • On the plus side a Man United/rs win double turns £40bet to £180. Every cloud has a William Hill lining.
Me too, outcome seemed a cert to me, got 14/1 for UTD/RS/QPR treble.

Haha they only beat that arsenal team by one goal? I bet on them to win by 3 and that was last night before I saw the team was even worse than expected.
Read the BBC report and there was the usual "Liverpool title challengers", no team ever gets such over the top coverage.
Remember when villa ripped a full strength arsenal team apart on the first game a couple of years back? That was an abysmal line up they put out, still 3 points is 3 points I suppose.

no team ever gets such over the top coverage.

that's deffo true...it's been a bee in my bonnet for a few years now, and even Mourinho has mentioned it, the reason for it being they've managed to infest themselves in mainstream media: journos, pundits, editors and the like. It's interesting in a way, a solid (if underhand) method for guaranteeing favourable coverage.

Don't think it matters - Mignolet is far better than that lot give him credit for. He'll come good any time now.

Unfortunately, he'll probably get a run now when he wouldn't have otherwise and it'll happen. Was hoping they'd move him on and later regret it.

.... and I was correct again.
