This thing is a massive eyesore held up by random steel struts in an era where there is no excuse for obstructed views.

Don't know if true but I heard their new stand was actually designed in the 1990's when they were thinking of redevelopment but never followed it through...until now. So that stands design is already 25-30 years old.

No but to be fair it was mentioned a lot by sky. Its nothing more than free advertising if im honest.

Surely the big iron structure is just there temporarily ? No way would you build a new stand and leave that there. Its like they aimed to rebuild the main stand at Goodison.

Looks pretty permanent to me. Assuming it isnt photo shopped or something. Or if the photo was taken from an angle that shows it being crap, but if you were actually sat there, it was ok.

That new stand of Liverpool's: will it be seen much given that they've always had the cameras on that side of the ground? I'd imagine if you'd invested so much into the redevelopment you'd want the world of football to see the results. And i cant imagine them switching over to the Kemlyn Rd side of the ground - you can imagine that lot invoking Shankly and all the other demons they hold dear to bring a plague of locusts down on dem Yanks MkII.
