3 points against city is no big deal . Them winning the league would of been horrific. You only had to see how the press were acting towards them in the run in. It was unbearable. If they'd won it then it doesn't even bear thinking about how hard it would be to take .

I went that match, sat in the Gwladys wanting us to lose as we were guaranteed 5th, and I was amazed how many wanted us to win, big celebrations for Barkley, fuming at the ref, defending etc for their goals. I think anyone who wanted us to actually beat Man City that day is just short-sighted. If it actually affected us and could of changed our league position, then of course you'd want us to win because our success is more important than their failure, but that wasn't the case

Guaranteed if we actually beat City, they'd eventually admit they were wrong after hearing every day for years about Liverpool's glorious title win
