ECHO Comment: "Fears of Witch-hunt Against Liverpool FC"

3 years on, the media would still be constantly bringing it up had they won, i don't think i've heard one mention of city's title win since the following season. It's the same where istanbul is still constantly reminded 1 years on, yet united's treble win doesn't get anywhere near the same amount of recognition. 8 fluky minutes in a game they were absolutely battered and it's still lauded as something special.

Leicester winning it will be one of the biggest football stories in our life time, If not the biggest

I 100% bet my house on those lot getting more media coverage 12 months after the event if they ever win it

Remember when we won the league and the CWC na dUnited beat us in the FA Cup mate, Granada did a bit on us - 5-10 minutes then an hour special on United showing the parade etc etc etc

Those two are just the media darlings, hated by everyone else like but

In that last derby they really showed the contempt they have for us.Klopp laughing in the dugout their owner and his tweets rubbing our faces into the dirt. They made all sorts of statements that night but those statements have not been forgotten and could come back to haunt them tomorrow night.Im actually not that nervous because i think the win against Arsenal was the turning point of our season.A fired up Goodison under the lights mark my words if Liverpool are going to beat us then they will have to earn it.But i actually think we will beat them comfortably enough.A foolish statement perhaps but they really are not what they are cracked up to be.If we beat them tomorrow night then they are 9 points off the top of the table for all the hype about them being title challengers.I just think if we show the same fight and aggression that we showed after going 1-0 down against Arsenal then Liverpool will be in for a tough night.Just beat them tomorrow boys so we can start the christmas celebrations nice and early.CYOB In Koeman We Trust.

When they battered Spurs , city and Arsenal at home with ease I thought the writing was on the wall

Then came demba ba
Behave! They never "battered" City in that game. Yet again Sewer-rat should have been sent off and wasn't, plus there were a couple of other dodgy decisions. They nicked it 3-2 - hardly a battering.

They clung on for the win, which I suspect is partly why Gerard went into Captain 'Fantastic' mode (that and because the TV cameras were up his ****). Karma cut then like a bitch though, so its all good. :-)

Ok they beat city and battered the other 2

Happy ?

I have to say, I still can't quite believe they failed to win it that year. I think if Leicester had won it the year before they might have done it, but because the same clubs had won it for a number of years the pressure was too much for them. Leicester, however, were nerveless, just incredible really, I hope they win team of the year on SPOTY.

Got your wish!

Don't forget the BBC World Service radio sports headline after Paul Rideout's greatest moment ..." United lose the cup final " :)

No point us blues over-exaggerating their performances when they are so adept at doing it themselves (not to mention the overly-sycophantic media coverage they get). Why would any Evertonian want to join in with that sort of tripe when we've been subjected to the exact opposite all these years?
