ECHO Comment: "Fears of Witch-hunt Against Liverpool FC"

I went that match, sat in the Gwladys wanting us to lose as we were guaranteed 5th, and I was amazed how many wanted us to win, big celebrations for Barkley, fuming at the ref, defending etc for their goals. Let's face it, if we had won that game, it would have been horrendous, we are still hearing about istanbul ffs

To be fair it's only 11 years.

Behave! They never "battered" City in that game. Yet again Sewer-rat should have been sent off and wasn't, plus there were a couple of other dodgy decisions. They nicked it 3-2 - hardly a battering.

They clung on for the win, which I suspect is partly why Gerard went into Captain 'Fantastic' mode (that and because the TV cameras were up his ****). Karma cut then like a bitch though, so its all good. :)

They were extremely fortunate to win that game against City. They shocked City at the beginning with a fast start but City moved into a higher gear and dominated them at their own ground until Kompany's mistake. I honestly thought they'd win it after that game but no one other than the most delusional kopites could say that over the course of a season City were not the better team. They were. In that year that Liverpool were supposedly 'destroying everyone' they lost to Arsenal, Chelsea, City away from home and didn't beat us away either.

They were lucky to get away with a point. Think we had 12 shots on target to their 5.

Just had a quick look to see what they are saying about tonights match over on Bawk
Unbelievably, they are still thinking that this is their year for the title lollollol Deluded clowns.
Let's put these tossers out of their misery Everton

Doesn't really matter about 'catching up' or whatever at this stage.

The way to the title is simple. Keep winning. Keep adding 3 points to the total. We'll see where we are in May.

We're not in Europe this year. The league is our one and only priority. You can be certain we'll be going into every game with the best possible XI to win the game.

I think it's not really helpful to think about Chelsea at this stage. They're obviously a very good team and will post a good points total by the end of the year. Thinking too much about where we are in relation to them though, will be putting unnecessary pressure on ourselves.

That slippy g season, going forward they were brilliant but defensively they were really, really average, I think they conceded nearly 50 league goals.

I think that is a very sensible post to be honest

They're 100% in with a chance of the title

They will be 2nd if they win tonight and looking at City/Arsenal/Utd/Spurs they only need to worry about Chelsea
