Yes and the park end had a don'tbuy the sun banner.

Sod the solidarity with their pathetic you haven't won a trophy..........

And I'm getting ripped over this on the Guardian. You can't buy class - and in their case they haven't even tried.

Moreover suggesting they should have got the hell out of the corner after the pyro and not repeated it at the end was also condemned. I see it as small minded bad meff attitude - I want us to celebrate like this (see Bournemouth, Chelsea) but not if we're kicking off and lobbing flares onto the pitch.

The refs give them at least a dozen points a season. Taking all the key incidents tonight they could easily have been a penalty goal and a player down (Lovren) before the Barkley incident and of course Snideo Mane (sly punch at Andy Carroll) should have been on an enforced rest but, naturally, that wasn't dealt with properly at the time or afterwards. Naturally he got away with all his diving and moaning tonight.

They're 100% in with a chance of the title

They will be 2nd if they win tonight and looking at City/Arsenal/Utd/Spurs they only need to worry about Chelsea

lol yes mate, sure thing, they only need to worry about one team in the league, forgot they were 20 points ahead of the chasing pack.

I try to ignore them 363 days of the year but the fact of the matter is - right now - not only is the loss making me feel sore and disappointed but that - when you look right through them all you see are a lot of horrible creatures. The fans are the worst imaginable. Insufferable - gloating, small minded, desperate for glory to avoid their almost certain small lives. It starts with the 21 Banner, the Pyro, Steaua scarves, unedifying put downs - fair enough to a degree but I've never seen the same levels from Blues..

I'm still angry so I'm going to try and ignore football for a day or two.. not easy.

One of their fan's finest efforts.. (he usually does RS ones)

If someone could embed this on here with the Duncan Edwards (I think) and airplane images just to show the RS mentality that would be great.

Remember it's always United fans who do all the bad things like singing about disasters that befall other teams.

The sad part of this, is that as a club one of their ambassadors is a lad who won the title for Manchester United. Their evidence for supposed collusion between our two clubs is a few transfers over a 25 year period and an independent pub that happens to be situated nearer to Everton's ground laying on a bit of food to visiting supporters to make themselves a few quid. Mercenary? Perhaps. Good business sense? Probably. Indicative of a conspiracy between two clubs? Highly doubtful.

What really embarrasses Scousers is not an idiot Manc with YSB banner drinking in a Merseyside pub with a few sarnies laid on, but the behaviour of their supporters when watching their team. Whether it's chanting a convicted racists name, hounding black players at Anfield in the 21st century, refusing to shake hands with Black people, Attacking family sections of opposing fans abroad (and bragging about how hard they are on camera) or getting mobs going into opposing stands to fight or singing songs about the Munich air disaster.

Any rational or decent person would understand what really tarnishes a Cities reputation. Most Scousers, red or blue will understand this. Unfortunately LFC have most of their fans with no connection to the City and quite happy to hijack our name in vain for their own distorted ends. The sad part is, lads from Liverpool who are reds actively turn a blind eye to it.

In all honesty what did they want us to do with Manchester United fans drinking in Independent pubs? Go and smash the pub up? (As this will likely help working class families in Walton). Go and physically attack the Manchester United fans? (As if violence really helps anyone). We know they would likely be the two options they would go for. Thankfully we are a little different and value ordinary scousers property and also the opportunity for visitors to feel welcome in our City, even if they are making fools of themselves. Turn thy other cheek and all that.

The behaviour yesterday doesn't come as a surprise. The Bucharest scarves and shirts come as no surprise. The phrase they use as "our failure is your success" is an apt and astute form of projection. Preventing Everton playing in Europe and celebrating the side who won a competition we were denied entry too is a standard part of Kopite MO when they discuss their historical achievements. The Smoke bombs, Pyro, bottles being flung again is fairly standard behaviour for them, little more than a far right lunch mob.

They played really well last night. I congratulate them on their win. I watched in the pub with around 20 reds (down South, none had anything resembling a scouse accent). After the whistle went, we shook hands, I congratulated them, we chatted about the game etc. You hope it leaves people with a decent impression of our club, but also our City. Thank goodness we have Evertonians, as goodness only knows what the world would make of us if they used LFC as it's example.
