It was the perfect storm of comedy. Of all the fans in the entire stadium that could have been snapped on that photo, of all the fans they took to Basel that could have been interviewed by that SSN reporter, it's absolutely unbelievable when you think about it.

All the moons aligned perfectly

And the trolling was immense, credit goes out the Spanish for getting involved

I'm sure I wasn't alone but I was talking to a kopite mate after they lost the final saying they just couldn't break down the two banks of four . It seems consistent that teams that sat back and go over the top of their press seem to present a problem they can't deal with . To be fair They brought in mane to get around the back of the teams and use his pace and mix it up ,but one player ? From what little I'd seen I thought the lad from Newcastle was quick but he really doesn't seem it at all . Tactically klopp seems totally tied to his system and unwilling to change , although to be fair he did stick matip up top at the weekend

It's exactly what's panned out this year and as many have predicted it seems the high pressing , high pressure game can't be sustained throughout a season .

Quite. What might work in Germany, where there's one other decent team, won't work the same in England where there are several. Way too exhausting.

I think in Martinez's head, this laid back approach, letting the ball do the work and not o ver extending players by doing lots of training had merit in making the players last a season. The reality was our players weren't fit enough, got injuries because of it, and was too inflexible.

they've only lost one game that they should have won, a slip up sure, but it doesn't mean they have all of a sudden been found out and we will catch them in a matter of weeks. A draw at old Trafford which they almost won is a very decent result and we didn't beat Swansea at home either so not sure we cant laugh too much!

ok, I take it all back, they are falling apart, beaten by their feeder club, ha ha ha. Happy to be wrong this time!
