ECHO Comment: "Fears of Witch-hunt Against Liverpool FC"

What you see from Klopp is similar to what you see from most managers, but in fast forward. Teams go through good runs and bad runs. He is obsessed with doing things at 100 mph though, when it goes well that's fine but if the wheels go slightly off he's not very adept at stabilising.

As if this isn't enough, you have a club full of fans that resemble an entitled cult with little to know patience. They liked Klopps approach when it went well as it allowed them to dream at a faster rate than they normally do. The fall out from this will be painful though and I think I've seen enough now from what may be an 8 game run where they may have only beaten Plymouth away by 1 goal.

He did very well at Dortmund, particularly when Bayern were rubbish and the league was weaker. When those two things reversed he got badly found out. Dortmund were bottom halfway through the season and the winter break got them out of jail. That was with a much stronger squad than this current Liverpool team in a weaker league. If he had a similar start here, with no winter break I have little doubts he could take them down.

Unfortunately the best manager in the world (who has won loads more than Koeman-another of the Trumpesque "alternative facts" they spout) will not be around to fulfil his destiny as they will sack him off before that. Loose today, leaving them for a second season with no Trophies and heads will begin to fall off. The dissenting voices will begin to grow, and like they did for Rodgers, Hodgson and Benitez before they will erode his regime.

Pass me the popcorn. There's nothing quite like the bellends losing their heads.
I suspect you're right that he cant put the brakes on a crisis. Certainly seemed that way at Dortmund despite the last season late rally.

If they lose today Liverpool need a big response over the next few weeks or he could be in real trouble.

That's an apt way of phrasing it "put a break on". Do what we did around the United game, go back to basics, sure things up, be hard to beat etc. He's a process man and won't do it.

It's a huge run for them, with only Hull away looking inviting over the next 6 or 7 games for them. Chelsea, Arsenal, Spurs and Leicester away in the next 5. Compare that to our next 6 or 7 games and they are very catchable.

The so called best fans in the world who are always behind their team through thick and thin no matter what voice their grief as boos ring out round Anfield at HT.

They are the best fans in the world like a manager who finished 8th and won nothing is the best manager in the world. In the kopite echo chamber repeating things more angrily and louder works to prove them as fact. In the real world it just makes people pity them and laugh at them more.

Certainly will be interesting. Top 4 is essential this season for Liverpool. They have a timeline to work to and being out of the CL is unthinkable when they have owners who have just paid out big time on a new stand and who obviously have an eye on getting them sold on.

If Klopp goes I wonder who they'd go for? Throw a massive wage at Simeone?

Had a little sneak over to this dark side to witness the meltdown and found this little piece of gold from "the best fans in the world"

Moreno looks broken. More concerned about not making a mistake than contributing. Really not doing what he's in the team for.
Randall solid enough but not seen enough in the final third from him.
Firmino. Nothing to say, his spiral downwards continues.
Origi, ok - can feel entitled to believe some midfielders should be running in the gaps if his centre back follows him which isn't happening.
Lucas, Wiji not really stamping their authority on the game or giving Ejaria/Woodburn a platform to play off. So the youngsters are being bullied.
Klavan - good stand in when you've won a first leg. Not a first team player or a squad player that you want to use in a cup tie.
Gomez just looks unfit. Like a yard behind. We know his potential though and he's been solid in the past. No doubt he'll get back to those heights but at the moment, a struggling, disjointed team not the place for him.
Karius - not really much to comment on him. Possibly an argument to come for the first but that would be a bit over critical. Exposed for the goal and came out. He's had success with that lately so one was always going to go past at some point.

We need to get wider, there was a point where Moreno was right in the centre behind Firmino. Why is he there? Need more discipline. Right now, can't see a way back.

Fair play to Hull they've been busy and got amongst us but that doesn't really warrant the half time result.

It's not FSG's style. I think if Klopp goes they panic.
