ECHO Comment: "Fears of Witch-hunt Against Liverpool FC"

There number 1 excuse seems to be they haven't spent any money....
Thinking about it. Since we've been able to splash the cash we've made a couple of 20 million plus buys. One looks really good and the other looks more miss than hit at the moment. Add Rom to that and two out of three aint bad. Compare that to the players they've spent that kind of money on in just the last 3 years and they seriously use the excuse that they can't compete financially

Mane £35m
Wijnaldum £24m
Benteke £39m
Firminho £34m
Lallana £26m
Lovren £21m
Markovic £21m

It's actually quite ridiculous how they're not challenging for the title every year, nevermind the top 4.

Lukaku is at least 9/10 Morgan at least a 7 and Yannick a solid 6 (though we did pay a fair chunk for him). That's pretty good going

Mane is an 8 or 9. Firmino at least an 8. Lallana perhaps an 8. Whereas Lovren is a 4, Wij a 4, Benteke a 3 and Markovic a 1. There you go - 3 winning moves, 4 losers. Scattergun approach.

Another of rawks finest:

"You CAN blame injury and the ridiculous run of matches over christmas, valid reasons. You can also blame fifa over Matip and you can blame the
ever growing incompetent match officials ( their second goal all started from a foul which was not given on one of ours)."

(By the way, my lad goes on there not me when they get beat, I would have to gouge my eyes out if I ever went on there.)

Ifithadnthavebeenfor

Lolololololololol.

Thing is the last ten games are more their level. Staryt of the season was Leicester like over performance. Just a side that is stuff full of mediocrity.

Coutinho looks like he's lost something after the injury, or perhaps he was just playing for a new contract.

Other than that, including mane, they're bang average. Given their enormous debt, which will grow when the next accounts are released, they could be in serious trouble soon.

FSG expected a better return on their investment and could easily pull their money out if this sorry run continues.

I think we will finish above them and then for the next seasons coming also....they dont have any top players coming through other than their usual overhyped dross

They talk about Woodburn, origi, Gomez, Trent Arnold, didn't they buy a young star last summer, Grujic.

Lets spare a thought for all those posters who were so active around October but are no longer with us.

I hope they're doing ok.

Also loving the schizophrenic attitude to lukalu. From second best Belgian on Merseyside to ensuring we plummet to the Vauxhall conference should he depart.

Horrible red shoitehawk Carragher on the liverpool commentary just then.
Picture goes to the bench a minute or two before the end to see klopp embrace and handshake the hull manager obviously in the the hull technical area.
Carraghers sarcastically pipes up "silva doing the mourihno handshake before the end of the game with klopp. I'll bet that went down well with klopp"
Then gets piped down by Martin tyler telling him , I think you'll find that Klopp went over to Martin silva who then said to klopp we'll have a drink in the office after the game.
Yet Numbnuts doesn't suggest klopp was being the classless bellend that he was implying Silva was. It's all fair and zany if der fuhrer does it is then Carraghers you utter tool.

They've needed to sort their defence out for years but never have. They seem to be more interested in going forward and when that stops clicking and you're still shipping goals it means you lose. HAHAHAHAHAHA
