Anyone who can't recognise that Liverpool have a good chance of finishing above us is as deluded as we make them out to be. Anything can happen and it would be silly to think otherwise.

I agree with the last part, but my personal opinion is that if all goes to plan then we will easily finish above them. We have a far better team than them and when we click we really can beat anybody in this league, just don't think they have that in them at all.
 

I don't think Liverpool will finish above us. They're playing to their potential lately, we're playing below ours (or at least the results are below potential), and we're STILL 6 places ahead of them. We've come through a patch of poor form and then a run of difficult fixtures which has allowed them to close in. It's disappointing that we've let that happen, but we are the better team.

do you mean that we will win the league then.
 
I can't believe a manager is aiming high and talking about a top 2 finish rather than talking about getting 40 points and see where you go from there.

Delusion and arrogance come with winning attitudes and winning trophies.

Thats whats pissed me off so much with everyone jumping on the band wagon buzzing off Rodgers comments, Yes hes going OTT saying they can get 2nd place but hes trying to install confidence into his side and asking them to aim high not telling them to get to 40 points so they can stay safe for another year

I very much doubt that Moyes is telling the players the same as he is telling the media and us.

Simply trying to dull down expectations outside of the football club, if anything keeps the spotlight off us that little bit longer. We are 4th so it is not as if his methods are not working at the moment whether we agree with them or not.
