Maybe he is, maybe he isn't.

But why not, why if he is telling the players in private they can finish second why not say that in public as well? If its to dull down expectations with the fans then surely if the fans have no expectation of finishing 2nd its way easier for the players to allow that to rub off on them knowing they can finish 7th and still be told they've had a good season?

Comes back to the handling of pressure, and if its having an adverse affect on where we finish its not on. (yes, other factors have adverse affects as well).

chelsea are currently 3rd in the english premier league and have extended their lead over 14th placed liverpool (who were playing at home (england) against the youngest aston villa team in history), despite being situated in Japan.
Man Utd and Man city also won and 4th placed everton drew away - not looking good for 2nd

Hilarious result. I'm actually growing to like them now, they've embarrassed themselves on a number of occasions already this season. Long may it continue! :lol:
