ECHO Comment: "Fears of Witch-hunt Against Liverpool FC"

They will contest the ban. Appeal. The rules will be changed. And by the summer the rats will be able to sign academy players.

I can see them getting some useful distance between themselves and City tonight...and drawing Spurs nearer - Swansea might be a tough nut for Spurs to crack tonight.

Think their win against us cemented their place in the C/L. Quite a few games involving the rest meaning they take points off each other.

Took a trip to their board to see how the ban was being received and could not resist a little peak in their Everton thread.

What made me laugh was a comment saying we won't go anymore as we are incapable of hanging on to our best players. The poster then went to to say this is not a problem for Liverpool.

While I acknowledge that we are a little further down the transfer food chain then they are this comment is completely deluded. With the exception of Stevie G every time they have a world class player they lose him. In the last few seasons we have only lost Stones and Fellaini despite the likes of Baines, Coleman, Barkley, McCarthy regularly being touted around by the red tops. They have lost Suarez & Sterling and if you go further back they lost Macherano, Alonso & Torres. Elite players do not see Liverpool as a final destination club anymore. If Barca come in for Coutinho in the summer he will be gone.
