ECHO Comment: "Fears of Witch-hunt Against Liverpool FC"

Their big problem is obviously defence, and lack of pace out wide.

They really need a new back line. For the way they play, they need attacking full backs, Clyne is solid but not what they need. They seem to have signed Robertson from Hull who would be great, I was hoping maybe we could get him.

Lovren is hopeless. It seems 75% of their support think he is good enough, but obviously not. He is an OK midtable defender.

Coutinho is best in the middle, which is problem for them because they have Lallana. Can they play

Henderson/Can

Lallana Coutinho

Otherwise they would need to play diamond. Has Klopp ever done that? I don't think so.

Don't be silly. They are eight points ahead of us with better GD. Plus they will finish ahead of Man U and Arsenal. Their attacking players definitely make up for their defence and bench though.

They didn't today..........

They didn't today..........

I mean in general over the season. Mane, Firmino, Coutinho, Lallana are all excellent players. For the first two and a bit months of the season they were all playing together and Liverpool looked really really good. I'm not sure they've played together much since. Mane, Coutinho and Lallana have each been injured or missing.

For some odd reason they play Firmino wide when Origi plays. Really strange as Firmino is best in the middle.

Anyway, I am going to watch Real v Barca now :)

Be 12 points better off with them......

Possibly but they're hundreds of millions of pounds in debt. They had to sell benteke to get mane.

Sahko is ok but them flipping out over his loan and implying it cost them a definite top 4 finish is just wishful thinking.

Yes I agree they are good players but Lallana and Coutinho aren't much use when they are crocked regularly.Me too about to watch the Real / Barcelona game....be torture for them after today though with Suarez on centre stage. Talk about rubbing it in...another striker who left possibly knocking the goals in.

Their bench is weak for sure, but luckily for them it's filled with young players, rather than aging/totally useless ones. Much easier to sell a prospect, than a total waste of space. They got 15,000,000!!! for Ibe!!!! Crazy! Their big problem is no alternative for Mane. They are so slow without him.

Also they will be in Europe next season, and I think Klopp already admitted earlier this season that he left the squad a bit thin, so he will be looking to improve starting eleven and also bulk the squad. They seem to have signed Robertson from Hull, which would be a really good signing for them, especially for just 8,000,000.

I think Arsenal and Man U are the vulnerable teams next season. Man U have no plan, they just sign players and throw them together (also Jose's infamous second season syndrome). If they do not win Europa and don't come fourth...could collapse really quick. Arsenal are obviously in a crazy situation.

Yeah a full back from a side likely to go down is just what's needed to send the willies up their rivals.

That's harsh. Look at how Stoke played yesterday, and Pulis sends no team out to stroll about.

It's tough to take but we cant be churlish about it: those two back to back wins were all about character...a character that we dont come near to having. Because when the pressure's on, our lot fold like a house of cards.

I can easily see them finishing 3rd now. They have no one to play of note. I know that hasn't stopped them dropping points to such teams, but they can almost see the finishing line now and I doubt their resolve will falter, tbh.

Seems that their "character" and "resolve" are rather unreliable.

They can all stop using the squad excuse to bail out Klopp. Look at the list of some of the players he has moved out for one reason or another: Benteke, Balotelli, Markovic, Joe Allen, Sakho, Jordan Ibe, Martin Skrtel, Kolo Toure. That looks a pretty decent bench to me. It's entirely his own fault that he has a load of kids on his bench.
