ECHO Comment: "Fears of Witch-hunt Against Liverpool FC"

Interesting for the Manchester Derby now. A draw still allows both sides to win games in hand to go above Liverpool. A loss for either side would be quite damaging. Arsenal still can't be discounted either. At one time it looked like City and Liverpool nailed on but now it's anyone's.

Is £8m a release clause price? If not then I can't see why his price wouldn't be higher, even if he has only one year left.

Chelsea and spurs are the only sides with a legit top class left back, if he was that good more sides would be after him.

Not really noticed him so he could be awesome, just can't see it though.
Living in Hull as I do, must have been something I did in a previous life, I get to a few of their games and I keep a critical eye on him.
Him and McGuire their best players by a mile. When they move on they will prosper in better teams.

Their bench is weak for sure, but luckily for them it's filled with young players, rather than aging/totally useless ones. Much easier to sell a prospect, than a total waste of space. They got 15,000,000!!! for Ibe!!!! Crazy! Their big problem is no alternative for Mane. They are so slow without him.

Also they will be in Europe next season, and I think Klopp already admitted earlier this season that he left the squad a bit thin, so he will be looking to improve starting eleven and also bulk the squad. They seem to have signed Robertson from Hull, which would be a really good signing for them, especially for just 8,000,000.

I think Arsenal and Man U are the vulnerable teams next season. Man U have no plan, they just sign players and throw them together (also Jose's infamous second season syndrome). If they do not win Europa and don't come fourth...could collapse really quick. Arsenal are obviously in a crazy situation.

United do have a plan. They're 23 games unbeaten. Could win the Europa league. Have a chance of 4th. Already won the League Cup.

They spend big in the summer no doubt and will title challenge.

Jose 2nd season syndrome won Chelsea the league last time.

Spurs aren't going anywhere and neither are Chelsea.

They have hardly moved during this famous unbeaten run. Draw merchants. Watch them. Duller than a Winter morning. Liverpool have been terrible for months and they still will not catch them.

They won't win Europa or finish fourth.

Liverpool continue their undefeated season run.

The Invincibles II?

Does anyone at the BBC actually look at what that idiot Lawrenson predicts? A side that hasn't won the league in 25 years is about to enjoy an unbeaten season by his professional opinion. Their city neighbours will draw over half the games that they play in this division despite winning the last nine at home on the spin, beating last years Champions and having the Premierships top scorer leading the line.

Now, I assume Lawro is paid for his insight by the licence holders and as such he should also be asked to explain his decisions. To be honest, I'm actually not advocating that - he's making such a prick of himself as it is, this bias should be picked up elsewhere.

Complete and utter weapon.

"Slip's Dream".......cue harps hazy dream music....."Look Stevie.. I told ya way back after all your e mails an all that jazz...look after the kids teams for a couple of months...play in Australia....then if hes still like Jack in The Shining... the job's all yours...."

Dunno mate, think my earlier thought that United would drop points and focus on Europa has been well scuppered by zlatan getting injured, United with pace up front look a massively better team.

City, should finish above both, but United today impressed hugely against Burnley.
City and Liverpool have the easier run ins. But United don't lose too often.

City look brittle. Probably more so than Liverpool, but I can see both qualifying for the CL with the pile up of games for United taking its toll.

Lawros prediction table after 35 games last season

4 Liverpool 35 18 16 1 70 +4

Oh yeah - he predicted them to win their 36th game as well

4 of cities next 6 are at home mate, only an away trip to watford and boro, can't see them drpping points in any besides the manc derby really

United are strange, rashford and martial have really given them a new impetus up front, thought theyd draw at best vs burnley, the way they handled that game is ominous for the rest

Sounding "bitter" there lad. You are hoping for this outcome ? They have a great chance of catching the rs and also the Europa.....would that wind you up....??

4 Man City 32 28 64
5 Man Utd 32 26 63
6 Everton 34 23 58
7 Arsenal 31 23 57

In regards to the rs mate, they have moved from 7 behind with equal games played, to 3 behind with 2 games in hand.

If each team just gets the average per game points for the games in hand the rs will be sat in 5th
