ECHO Comment: "Fears of Witch-hunt Against Liverpool FC"

Lpool's run in is the weakest but it those teams that turn up and do them.

Lpool have 66pts with City - 2 games in hand (64pts) United - 2 games (63pts) and Arsenal (57pts) 3 games.

4th isn't their just yet.

City will do it, United possibly/probably, can't see Arsenal getting near.....

I don't care either way, really. I think Liverpool have the better long term plan but as I said earlier, I think only Chelsea are beyond us next season. If we buy well in the summer we have great chance of getting into Champions League. All the other English teams have big weaknesses.

Champions League or not for both Liverpool and Man U does not change much. Both will be looking to spend big this summer. It would be bigger deal for Liverpool as Man U have the money and the name.

wow, what a laughable statement. I know everyone's called you up on it, but what on earth were you thinking here? United's long term plan is to constantly buy the biggest names in world football, like they have done with pogba and ibrahimovic when they didn't even having champions league to offer, liverpool haven't bought anyone remotely close to world class in over a decade. But then you've already stated that was the case in your final paragraph so how is united's plan not better.

Oh look, the RS are apparently going to buy hull's left back. Whoopdie fecking doo, just like the last time they got champions league, they can't attract anyone good so they'll be going back to teams like soton and newcastle like they did last summer. That's not a great long term plan, constantly buying players of that ilk for obscene amounts is only going to make you worse in the long run.

Next season united will finish at least 10 points ahead of them, then we'll see which team are better prepared for the future.

Been out and busy since before the match - first I've heard of the score. The RS were up 1 last thing I heard. More power to those Invincible Eagles of Palace. If only we could bogey that lot like they do.

Well done.

That's what will do it for them. Can only see them getting wins at Southampton and maybe Arsenal. Realistically I can see them:

City- draw
Spurs- loss
Saints- win
Arsenal- draw

If you factor in 2 of those being games in hand I can just see Liverpool pipping them by about a point or 2. That's why Watford have to atleast hold them to a draw imo if Utd have chance of nicking 4th. Ibra is a big miss
The game with City will be key, I suppose. If they beat City then they can give themselves a big chance. If City beat United then I can see Liverpool just holding United off.

Their fume over Sakho celebrating with Benteke is something else. Weird, weird people.

if you ever meet benteke, tell him to celebrate properly next time ha, those clowns booed him throughout his time there thinking he wasn't good enough for der famous red-men. Idiots, the lot of them.

still same deal with CL winner i.e. if Leicester had won it then 4th would lose their spot & go into europa.

if United win Europa then they go into CL & if outside of top 4 we have 5 in it, however if they win it & finish in a Europa position then we lose 1 of the europa entrants i.e it doesnt go to 8th place

The operative phrase in all this is Liverpool finishing fourth, because that would mean they'd have a likely very difficult playoff round to negotiate first. Lose that and they'd drop into the Europa League and their league form will almost certainly suffer because I can't see them spending enough to replace the dross that currently litters their squad.

That's not the point. We're talking about great signings. Would you turn down those players for us in the last ten years?

Mane is injured, for now, but had a very good season and in team of the year. Lallana isn't a crock and Coutinho may want to go to Barca but was still a great signing. He'll also still be there next season.
