Because not all clubs go about transfers in the same way mate, their owners so t sanction 50m on a,peak aged centre back whose value won't ever increase - it doesn't fit their moneyball idea, the defensive players they have bought have tended to be bargain basement buys.
Look at their defence, clyne for 8m due to him being in the last year of his contract, karius for about 4m, matip on a free, Milner on a free, klavan for about 2m, lovren was the only expensive buy and even that was only 20m.
So their original first choice keeper, first three cbs and starting two fullbacks cost a total of 34m for the 6 of them, same as they paid for Mane.
The profit is in young attacking players that they can then sell for a big mark up. Klopp also isn't a manager whose ever spent big on defensive positions, don't see him throwing 50m on a cb, not when they need 7-8 players already.
The players the club leaked to the echo as on their list for the summer btw, about three have already agreed deals to join other teams, FSG won't win any bidding war on players, it doesn't represent return on investment for them.

I would actually mate.
1) Lallana - crap, grossly overrated.
2) Mane - nothing that special about him tbh.
3) Sturridge - made of glass and selfish in the extreme which wouldn't be so bad if he had the talent to back it up.
4) Suarez - I wouldn't have that attention seeking, racist, biting, putrid little rat anywhere near this club. I don't care how talented he is on the pitch, he's an animal and would destroy our clubs reputation while waiting for the first opportunity to stab us in the back. Only a club who's fanbase is as delusional as the RS could convince themselves that Suarez really cares about their club. Suarez only care about Suarez.

I really hope United win Thursday, if they do, they'll get the top 4 as well as City who are a shoe in for it IMO, they won't drop ,ore than 3 points on there run in. A United win or draw means it stays out of Liverpool's hands. I still wouldn't rule Arsenal our either as Liverpool have been poor for weeks despite winning, as I've been posting prior to yesterday, and I definitely think they could drop points in all 3 games left. Arsenal's win yesterday could give them a big boost now. I really fancy 1 of Southampton or Watford to take something off the RS. A strengthened West Ham should do as well.

Expect the RS U23 to lie down and die against the Mancs. 1-5 scoreline. Leaves City to beat Saints (say 3-0) and the RS to turn up and beat us at Goodison to deny us the U23 title.

Many of their players are overrated big time, but Lallana, Mane and obviously Suarez are fantastic. Sturridge is elite when fit so OK, I can understand not being interested in him as he is always injured. He has better scoring rate than Lukaku when he plays so he most definitely has the talent, to say he doesn't...well...just silly. Yes, players caring about clubs is childish, I agree. People here always complain when our best players leave Zagreb, but it's life and business. Players do not have same connection as us fans. But nothing special about Mane??? He would get into every team in the league. Maybe only Barca and Real wouldn't fit him in their starting team in Europe.

You're letting them play for Liverpool cloud your judgement. This is the old mentality. Koeman is instilling new mentality. We should be strong enough to admit when a player is good.
