ECHO Comment: "Fears of Witch-hunt Against Liverpool FC"

Just to pass a quick moment I thought I'd check the latest insight from Lawrenson for this week's games. Yep, you got it, the unusual one has predicted another Liverpool win away from home and Everton to get beat. Fast forward next week and repeat.

According to Lawro they've gone unbeaten this season, as there's no way he'll predict them to lose any of their last four. Why is he still allowed to have a voice?

I don't know mate, the rs have 4 crap teams left to play and it's usually the crap ones they struggle against most.

It ain't over yet mate, I'd piss myself laughing if they didn't make the top 4 ;)

The result of the mancs game means that they can now both overtake the RS with their game in hand. I too may have a bit of a chuckle when it happens.......

especially after going unbeaten in all games vs the top 7. They won't know what to do.

"We need to improve our squad to be better than the teams above us"
"But we didn't lose to any of them, so how can we improve on that?"
"Oh yeah, be better than the teams who beat us?"
"But we already are better hence why our team is above them in the league"
"Oh yeah, ermm ... buy another attacking midfielder?"
"... now we're talking, as well as that new kit that looks like a title winning kit, next year is our year"

4 year deal at 100k pw for Lovren, that doesn't sound like they are planning on making him third choice when they go sign VVD etc for 55m does it...

These deals are baffling. Fair enough for Coutinho but let's be honest neither Lallana or Lovren are good enough to play at a higher level than Liverpool. No CL club will be looking at them at all. Liverpool had all the leverage, they could have offered them anything knowing that they couldn't really go anywhere better. Instead they've moved them to huge wages on long contracts that they're never going to want to give up. Amazing.

Sat here laughing to myself about Crystanbul. They tried to win 10-0, just have a long hard think about that. They literally tried to win a Premier League game away from home 10-0 to build their goal difference up. Picking the ball up to restart the game quickly when it went to 3-0, absolute prize cabbages. They deserve to be mocked for the rest of eternity after how that turned out.

Yes indeed...and even belatedly, its always a pleasure to resurrect this icon of theirs for another outing to commemorate their premature congratulation.

prem pic.webp it all came tumbling.webp

Our kid has one of them rare Liverpool Premiership Winners scarves 2013/14. Bought it from a stall off Church Street before the Chelsea Demba Day game as says he knew they'd blow up. It's priceless in our banter now.

We've been on the ale a few times since and I've offered a score to wear it once, fifty to have it forever and a grand if he can get a pic with Aldridge holding it and my half of me ma's house if he can a pic with Gerrard.

He says he's going to get it framed inside the reception of our new ground. By his reckoning we won the league first on their ground so it's only right we honour their achievement in ours!!!
