R/s next door has blanked me twice today already, just can't think what I have done to him.
You haven't just parked a brand new car on your driveway next to the for sale sign that went up last week after you told him you were going on Grand Designs for your new build dream house have you?

Insufferable b******s are behaving like all their Christmas's have come at once. The cry of 'No longer are we shopping at Primark' has been seen and heard far too many times for my liking.
Even worse, they are telling everyone who cares to listen that Pickford is the next best thing to wear a pair of gloves since Buffon.

Or better still this refreshingly realistic one....

Chris Kirkland recomended Pickford to us a few years back after working with him at Preston. Could be a very costly slip.

Not another one :coffee:

KOPITE LOGIC

Pickford (who has just had a brilliant season in the toughest league in the world) is a massively overrated flop in the making.
Solanke (who hasn't played one minute of first team football) is a footballing genius who is destined to dominate the ballon d'or.

I blinkin love those little scamps.

there is every chance pickford could be a flop of course, so if the roles were reversed, we'd be saying the exact same things, but i really really liked what i saw of him last season. People were raving about butland, but pickford was head and shoulders above him last season. Yes, the argument about him being peppered with shots all game is valid, but in comparison to butland ... he plays for stoke, not exactly playing for chelsea. I think pickford's distribution and calmness is what sold it to me though, butland is more of a better shot stopper, just as mignolet is, so these keepers will save points, but also cost you them.

Definitely a case of wait and see.

But i don't know what RS expect when we're excited about spending money. For 20+ years we've been living off scraps, never ever given the chance to kick on. They've been the polar opposite for 20 years, getting more and more money to spend each year and are actually getting worse.

Id rather listen to the opinions on Pickford from the likes of Nev Southall, Shilton and Kirkland than jealous RS berks who have a manager who extols the virtues of an error strewn goalkeeper like Mignolet.

My post seems to have rubbed some people up the wrong way, I was just replying to this post

who on earth is gaya? Why are they calling our midfield wank when there's is horrendously weak? Mccarthy barely gets a look in here, yet he'd put a case forward as their best centre mid. Whilst also possibly being their 4th best given the depth of averagaeness personified by can, wijnaldum, henderson and lucas.

Horrendously weak? McCarthy would be their best mid when he can't get a game here? Which means our midfield must be much better than theirs. add our better Midfield to us having the 2nd best striker in the League. We should have been much better than 7th then. At least 4th. Just picking up on a post that overrated our Midfield which was a weak point of our season last season, IMO. Creatively and goals, whilst their mid was actually quite good. They finished 7 goals behind Top scoring Chelsea, without playing with a recognised Striker for much of it, their top scorers coming from midfield in Mane and Coutinho with 13 each. Rom got 25. What happened to our Midfield if it was much stronger than theirs?

2nd highest goalscorer is not the same as 2nd best striker.
If you think that Lukaku is a better striker than Costa, Aguero, Sanchez or Ibrahimovic then you are delusional.

Rom was the 2nd best Striker in the League last season. I didn't say he was a better player, nor would I, than the ones you mentioned.

We paid about 10p for Gosling and he did something similar*. He's not a Goodison legend.

That wasn't a Semi Final, at Wembley. 'if a 35m waste of money' scored a winner for us, at Wembley, in an FA Cup semi final, he would forever be a legend here. And 35m would be money well spent. Hell, if ANYONE, scored a winner for us in a League Derby, he would instantly be a legend. Not sure how you can disagree with that.

He was the second highest scorer. It's not the same thing. The ones I mentioned are strikers.

They lost the final. Who cares?

The RAWK Everton thread has gone quiet.. well that'll be because, after the double swoop and The Games announcement at the "iconic" BMD Stadium quite a few of them have committed Kenni Kari*

* which involves either losing control of your bladder before wrapping yourself in a grey duvet like coat and smothering yourself.. or self-immolation wearing the 1986 Double Winners full kit soaked in Crown Paint and Carlsberg.
