you seem to have missed the fact that he's been very good for Roma for 2 seasons.

15 goals, 11 assists last season

14 goals, 6 assists season before that
Super Mario slotted 26 in 43 before signing for the rs pointless comparing stats from different leagues,I cant honestly say I have ever watched the lad so Im not going to slag him off

The Italian winger we got linked with who plays do a bang average italian team posted Vetter numbers than those when he was 18-20 mate. Jive then sold him to the club he'd been loaned too those seasons for 8m quid, they have vastly overpaid for a player who struggled once before in this league.

Italian league though. People don't realise just how bad that league is nowadays. Some RS are trying to have a go at klaassen but he was captain of the side that battered the side that battered Roma.

He'll flop again. Fact.

In Italy. In the Premier League he was awful.
Mentioned this in another thread! Salah has looked very good in Seria A, but there's numerous players who've thrived there and flopped here.

You've got the likes Obiang, Cuadrado, Jovetic and Balotteli; not to mention their own notrious Aquilani! Look at our own Deulofeu prospering there!

The fact that he's already had a chance in the PL and success didn't materialise adds weight to this, although they'll blame José for that of course.

He may succeed under Klopp or when given a chance which he didn't appear to get at Chelsea, hopefully however he will be another flop.

He struggled in the Prem as he was hardly given game time and he was very young (21 think)

Him and Mane will cause teams no end of problems on the counter

He was given a total of 600minutes 7 starts 8 as a sub, hardly any time at all for anybody to find their feet.

Hes a good player.

He was a young lad as well, he's improved no end since he went to Italy

35m is a decent price for a 25 year old pacey goal scorer

Such a strange way of thinking. Juventus made the Champions League final last season, comfortably beating Barcelona and Monaco along the way, and only won the league over Roma by four points, with Napoli a further two points back. There are plenty of players in the Italian league that I would love us to buy and I'm sure we wouldn't say stuff like this if Koulibaly etc. joined.

Some RS are trying to have a go at klaassen but he was captain of the side that battered the side that battered Roma.

Again, weird thinking. Neither Roma nor Lyon were battered. In fact, both ties finished 5-4 on aggregate. Roma beat Lyon 2-1 and Lyon beat Ajax 3-1 so you could just as well argue that Salah played in a side that beat a team that battered a team Klaassen was captaining. Good job football doesn't work like that though and I'm sure Klaassen will prove to be a great buy.
