Personally think he'll give them another year. Then when they fall massively short of winning the league again he'll leave and they'll do their usual rewriting of history, trying to make out they didn't think he was all that good anyway.

They have a say, but if it's contrary to the wishes of Klopp they're going to lose him in quick time and then they have the far bigger headache of getting a manager in who is as competent as him (and a man two years into the job and his own rebuilding programme).
If he goes Klopp will need to be on board. If I were Klopp and Lallana had just been ruled out for the first two months of the season I'd put a block on Coutinho moving.
