ECHO Comment: "Fears of Witch-hunt Against Liverpool FC"

Was in the pub with their game on the TV. When they equalised to make it 1-1 one of their fans started singing "We're gonna win the league".

Not even sure he was being sarcastic. What runs through their heads?

Watford were poor today and still got the draw. Really hope Hoffenheim do a job on them.

That would mean we might possibly have to contend with them in Europa though

Best for them to beat Hoffenheim then finish bottom of their CL Group

Ive heard of Joeys comments..
Any links ?? Would love to hear them.

"He has gone in with all this charisma and seems a down to earth nice guy," Barton told talkSPORT.

"But I always worry when I see him prancing up and down the touchline. He is like a giant German cheerleader for them.

"To be a top manager, you have got to have more than that. He has got a terrible record in finals.

"I'm not buying the Klopp aura and that he is this super coach. His career doesn't point that way.

"He has got one league title, one cup, in 2011/12. His Dortmund career ended in a hole in the ground.

"He lost the players, he lost the dressing room. They were fighting relegation."

Klopp took charge of Liverpool in October 2015 and is under contract until June 2022.

It's wonderful to listen to Carraghers voice go high pitched when he's wound up arguing with that tosspot Rednapp
Listened to their rant on a friend's phone after our game and it appeared as if Carragher openly, be it reluctantly, blamed Klopp for their defence.

While Redknapp was criticising Liverpool for not strengthening, I believe Carragher mentioned that even VVD wouldn't fix their approach.

Anyone got a link to the actual footage as I've had a few drinks since then? Would be interesting if their beloved media is starting to turn on.

Klopp must be a strange manager.. one minute the team look like world beaters (especially against the very best) and then... hmm, not so good. I wonder how he can be so inconsistent. At least most of our managers can do the business against teams we finish ahead of in the table so we kind of know what to expect game to game and we're not moaning "how can we beat Chelsea at Stamford Bridge and then lose at Leicester or at home to Swansea and Palace?"

Tof I don't think Jamie R is in a good place at the mo. Carraghers point is obvious but Redknapp is taking it all 'personal'.
Liverpool do play some superb stuff but I'd rather grind out a win yesterday than be on the roller coaster their fans are all on. I went on rawk straight after the hugely exciting finale to their game as you do, And this made me laugh
'What's important to remember is there aren't that many players in the world that can improve us. ' Fordy

Where Liberpool would have finished in the PL without the penalties they were awarded:

11, 9, 6, 3, 4, 4, 10, 5, 4, 2, 5, 6*, 7, 3, 4, 4, 2, 7, 6, 8, 7, 4**, 7, 8, 5

* 2003-04 = no CL qualification
**2013-14 = Year of the Slippy

Overall average (5.64) = 6th
