ECHO Comment: "Fears of Witch-hunt Against Liverpool FC"

I was going to pose that very question.

Did they, on paper at any rate, draw the weakest team from each of the other three pots?

This is unprecedented good fortune, even by their standards of jamminess.

7 of 7 possible opponents in Pot 1, 5th of 6 possible in Pot 2 and 6th of 8 possible in Pot 3.. and this from only the 6th best team in Pot 3 (and only the 21st best of the 32 teams in the competition)

Not forgetting that: 1) all their possible rivals for the CL Qualifying Round that might have left them unseeded all melted away -e.g. Dortmund won, Roma won, one of the Moscow teams won and some other side won their title (I forget) all denying them the possibility of drawing one of those sides - and then.. 2) a tie against a novice German side with no previous CL experience and, naturally, the 2nd leg at The Pit..

So,so many strange occurrences with that lot even more so in Europe than at home over the years, not that I'm saying something funny is going on like, of course,;)lol

As far as I'm concerned it's 6 more games than they had last season and a bit more travelling that means they will burn out quicker.

A couple of those matches the gang if scruffs will expect an easy win which lessens the atmosphere and puts more pressure on the players.

2nd easiest group I think they've been given but they've looked even more suspect st the back this season already than they did last season.

Was going to say their fans will have it tough in Moscow, but with Russia holding the World Cup next year the ultras will be piped down by the government.
