Looks like Monaco selling Mbappe and Fabinho to PSG so i very much doubt they gonna let Lemar go too. They swimming in money too
They said earlier in the window that they expected their squad to be dismantled and then rebuilt, but selling all the family silver isn't wise.

Lemar also doesn't fix their glaringly obvious deficiencies in defence and goal as he'd be competing for positions where they're already strong.

As @killenefc mentioned, it's hard not to admire their front line but as you mention it's a marathon and not a sprint, which doesn't suit Klopp.

A top striker who can maintain his fitness and one or two resolute defenders and I'd be worried, but I'm not as they'll eventually tire and fade.

Also the fact that EVERYONE knows exactly how they are going to play means they will be found out massively at some point

First time I've seen them this season and they did look annoyingly good, despite the help they got from the opposition.

They faded last year without European football. Same again this year:

Someone mentioned it yesterday how it always surprises them that the top clubs go there and play a style that suits their one-dimensonal style.

The likes of Burnley however go there and to stifle them with rigid, deep banks of four hoping (often successfully) to catch them on the break.

It might not suit their persona of being a top club, yet if they sat back and then picked them off on the counter the RS's defence would collapse.

Precisely, if you defend in depth and cut out any space for their attackers to run into you just have to go all out at set pieces or on the break. He got found out like that at Dortmund, why the hell hasn't that happened here?

Yep,likes of Burnley,WBA,Stoke have more chance against them then someone like Arsenal.Strange but true.Crystal Palace looked million times better and could steal win if Benteke hit that open goal then absymal Arsenal yesterday

To be honest, I think the flaws to his system are blatantly obvious to all but for a number of reasons certain teams are reluctant to counter in.

Is it an adherence to a belief that their own system should be maintained? Or concerns the press and fans will criticise a negative style?

Whatever it is, they continue to try to go toe to toe with the RS and this arguably provides an advantage as open football suits them every day.

The only top manager who I think would be willing to openly stifle Herr Klopp is José because he doesn't give a toss as long as he wins.

We try and stifle them, but get leathered though ?

I'd totally agree with this. With teams like them you have to sit back and then wait for your moment to go at them. Which is a big difference from sitting back the whole game like what we've been doing of late
