ECHO Comment: "Fears of Witch-hunt Against Liverpool FC"

I'm not sneering at anything... it's brilliant what the club do off the field but we are a football team and will be defined by success on the field not the great work that goes on behind the scenes.

Yeah well LFC are hardly the barometer we judge ourselves on.1 trophy in 11 years and that was when they won the Mickey Mouse cup, beating a championship team on penalties.lol

I grew up and saw us win the League as a kid then when that side disintegrated pretty quickly, had to endure their Shankly years through school with Keegan etc when we mediocre. I still skitted them and still would never want to be them in spite of their successes then. Likewise Istanbul....if we can endure that circus we can endure them doing anything. I was never ever jealous or, as that term has been re-modified, "bitter" as, coming, up to my 60th birthday this month with a failing heart, Id still rather be an Evertonian than to use a Ronnie Goodlass term, "one o them". Theyre playing better than us for sure with attacking prowess... and also like us with a defence like a colander. So what...at the end of the day, nothing will prevent them being, as our old chant still says, what they are. Still brings a smile when I hear it.

100%, we love to out do each other on the terraces berating our players. I swear I have seen rows between men about who hates pistone more than who.
Lad I used to go the game with put a fiver on him to score, every game. The fella in the stall in the paddock said to him one game, 'tell you what mate, I'll give you odds on him to make a pass.'

My worry is with Keita going there next summer he has fixed the midfield and attack for the next 4-5 years, then he'll concentrate on the next phase of buying a top GK and CB and have a very strong spine for the next 5 years.

They will have a fantastic front 6 when Keita arrives next season, and won't need to spend anymore on that side of the game so will get a big wad of money to fix the weaknesses at the back with Lovren and Mignolet just not good enough and push on more, his Dortmund team still hold the Bundesliga record for goals conceded so he knows how to get a right mix of scoring a lot and not conceding with that high pressing style of football he likes.

I'm gutted they have got Keita,he looks a force of nature,he looks a physical dribbling scoring monster on Youtube montages.

If his Dortmund team hold the record for goals conceded, How is it that he knows how to get a right mix of scoring and not conceding
