At least their failings are buying us a bit of peace from the outright ridicule they would otherwise be giving us. Obviously it's scant consolation but we're having to cope with our travails and that lot rubbing our noses in it would just make it much much worse.

Our performances have been worse but their results have arguably been worse. They've chucked away points at home to bearable opposition, not won their key game in the group, and now out the league cup. All we've done is been spanked by a load of sides we normally lose to anyway away from home.

My worry is with Keita going there next summer he has fixed the midfield and attack for the next 4-5 years, then he'll concentrate on the next phase of buying a top GK and CB and have a very strong spine for the next 5 years.

They will have a fantastic front 6 when Keita arrives next season, and won't need to spend anymore on that side of the game so will get a big wad of money to fix the weaknesses at the back with Lovren and Mignolet just not good enough and push on more, his Dortmund team still hold the Bundesliga record for goals conceded so he knows how to get a right mix of scoring a lot and not conceding with that high pressing style of football he likes.

I'm gutted they have got Keita,he looks a force of nature,he looks a physical dribbling scoring monster on Youtube montages.

Do you really think Mane and Coutinho are going to hang around if it's another trophyless season scraping around for top 4? They both know they could join a top European side. Can looks like he will go. So this idea that he's fixed 2/3s of a team is crazy. This season will be effectively his third season (mad how they count the finals from that first season as Klopp's but not the league) so he'll naturally be looking at starting a new cycle of a team.
