Nod your head admiringly at their grand achievements when they pipe up, and keep doing it even when they go kerput. Surely they will then realise you don't give a **** then? I say this knowing full well, that it doesn't - some form of myopia descends when they are doing badly only for the fog to be lifted when they win another trophy such as the "only we can beat city" cup.
