ECHO Comment: "Fears of Witch-hunt Against Liverpool FC"

I'm sorry but I've been watching Keita for three seasons now and he's a class act. Plays the game like nobody I've seen before. He's also one of the fastest midfield dribblers I've ever seen so not sure why you think he's slow (other than due to who he's signed for).

Good news is that he'll probably be at Barcelona or Real Madrid within three seasons.

I seriously doubt you where watching the Austrian league - which you'd have to have been going to have been watching him for three seasons mate...

How many times has he been sent off, the only time I hear about him is when he’s had a red card.
Seems like a snidey little runt who needs putting in the stands within the first 5 minutes of every game.

Hmmm, I don't like to hear that tbh. Most of the best midfielders over the years had a bit of a mean streak in them that made them the player they were. Keane, Scholes and Vierra were no strangers to cards. That Liverpool team's weakness at the minute is that they're a bit soft physically and mentally.

Even in the Bundesliga it's been commented he's had a huge drop off in form this season. Cant say what he was like in previous seasons as I only took an interest when LFC bought him.

He will be mullered in this league. He's supposed to be box-to-box and I can say right now with something close to certainty that he'll flop in the PL.

So you admit to not watching him apart from this season, but then say you’re certain that he’ll flop? Genius mate.

If you’re really bothered about him then I suggest that you do watch some of his matches from last season.

Yeah the fact he's been sent of a few times is definitely evidence he'll be as good as Scholes. Doubt anyone would question that logic.

So you think that players should be judged on previous season's form and that the current one (going so long it's almost over) should be ignored?

I'm merely telling you what I see mate (and many commentators on German football) that he's slipped from what he was before to this present level he operates at. And that level will be found out in the PL.

For the cash paid, he looks pedestrian and slow of thought when it matters most: with the ball at his feet. 4 goals and 3 assists in the Bundesliga this season. Maybe he's saving his game for Liverpool...maybe he's just not all that. We'll find out soon enough.

What an odd article that is.
What's so odd? Liverpool players aware of Salah in contact with Real Madrid over a move pending player acquisition involving at least 2 other clubs. They inform a Barcelona player, who then tells Lionel Messi. Somehow, this is overheard and reported on in Spain. The Express then prints this in their newspaper.

How can overhearing other people's gossip that they got second hand from an unreliable source ever be not trusted?

Having said that, I look forward to Salah ripping it up in La Liga for Real next season. :)

No evidence for the racist abuse against at Brewster from the Spartak player after a Uefa investigation. By their own logic this must mean that there wasn’t any and Brewster has falsely accused him.
UEFA moved even more slowly than the FA on investigating this one. Brewster more than likely has been let down over this. Regardless of what club you play for, we should as @RobC point out, not be scoring points on a matter as serious as this. The only colour that we should hold higher than any other is of course the Royal Blue of Everton.

The same way Holgate was. Except some Everton fans were almost giddily jumping all over the fact that there was no evidence to support him to prove themselves right.

The two cases are identical. Something said, hysterical on pitch reaction, case reporter, lack of enough evidence after investigation, yet one player came out of the whole thing with his reputation tarnished far more than the other.
