ECHO Comment: "Fears of Witch-hunt Against Liverpool FC"

i was watching the brazil russia game and he came on. Not for long like, but you do make a valid point. Then again, he's not better than jesus, costa or neymar so i don't think moving clubs would help him start.

Anyway, the bitters aren't going to keep getting lucky with signings like salah when they're selling their best players every year. Klopp's got them a couple of good signings since he's been there, but can you imagine how bad they'd be if salah flopped. With selling coutinho, can on his way out and firminho looking to move they wouldn't have any good players left.
Firmino wasn't even playing under Rodgers,he was on the bench against us in the derby and right after that game he got sacked.

I think that was their recruitment who signed him maybe with input from klopp who was waiting in the wings during his managerial break to go there the first sign rodgers wasn't getting results,he was sacked pretty early in the season IIRC.

Oh hello, it's the database...

I’ve got to the point with the best team this century not to win the league but act like they have where it doesn’t matter. The yank who owns them actually doesn’t care if they win any more penalty shootouts, he measures his success by the dough he takes from the club in transfer fees & from the ever increasing number of tourists who snap, pose, smile & feed our local economy every other week.

Henry has been superb for Everton in dampening expectations of the local lads who support them - a lot of my mates do - and are of the lesser spotted version because they actually go the game; have done for years - like me with us - home & away. But, they are obsessed with the demented one who charges up & down on the touch line, wears Beatles T Shirts charms us on tv, but wins the same as us each year. Compare those expectations with the weird one at Arsenal, derided, fans stay away, but has won more in the past three years than the selfie brigade across the park have done in the last ten. Weird isn’t it how success is measured? The we nearly won the league mob probably see that as a medal. Glory past? You bet.

Of the managers, one is a hero, laughing all the way to the bank, the other is an old boy who has won league titles, FA Cups & also still in Europe. But winning is not about silverware for the Baseball Team owner He don’t care, banked the dough from Coutinho & sees success in the profits his investment deserved. Drawing a final & winning on pens ain’t success in his book. It creates no value, but selling for a profit is. FSG have re-written success, it’s now measured off the pitch in terms of profit for these lads, not celebrating a hard earned win on pens against a Championship opposition.

My mates know the club don’t care about them much, they are what they are. Fair play, football has changed & the weird lurking misfits who spy this thread, tap away. You don’t even go the game & your pretend romance with a club that’s focussed on balance sheets & the odd sing a long will see you soon jettisoned unless you renew your worldwide membership.

But back to my point, the cult see the demented one as a success despite winning as much as Big Sam since he was Newcastle’s saviour & the French geezer down South has collected pots galore but the fams & bruvs demand he leaves. JW Henry, I salute you. You have made the most unhinged misfit believe in your fairy tale of how fans have become consumers.

Ps - will you sell Salah or Firminio next?

Some good points there mate. Sure to hit a few nerves with the lurkers and no doubt will get plenty of attention over at monster mansion.

The fact is, they have three strikers who are worth £100m+ each now.

No.

The paceman could command a silly figure this summer but that'll be temporary.

The ladyboy has a clause in his contract for considerably less and Mane is looking jaded.

The actual fact is despite having the bestest ever coach ever, playing the most bestest football anyone has ever seen with a forward line the envy of Barcelona they went out of both domestic competitions very early (needing a lunatic decision to beat us), drew their only tricky European games and could easily finish outside the top 4. With a wage bill growing as fast as their debt they could be in serious trouble if they don't get CL football.

Meanwhile we have no debt and are going to get the best stadium in world football in one of the most iconic spots on the planet.
