I get that it's a minority but the problem is it's a very sizable minority and while the majority don't condone the actions I've yet to see any serious condemnations from them. Yet more pethetic excuses and brush it all under the carpet while waiting for it all to go away. I'd be mortified if our fans were involved with behaviour like that and I'd make no excuses for it. We as a club certainly wouldn't have clowns like that tithead Thompson making "jokes" about such a serious issue. They are an absolute embarrassment to this city.

It is mass hysteria.

The type of people engaging in that exhibition are the type of dangerous fools whom are easily riled up by demagogues and rabble rousers to do nasty things.

You could just picture them following Peter The Hermit on his “People’s Crusade” to take Jerusalem in the Eleventh century.

It is like religious fervour writ large.

A very good friend of mine, a Blue, lives in one of those streets around Anfield and he says he was afraid to venture out for fear of his safety.

And even those who did venture out were almost choaked by the fumes from the pyros.
