ECHO Comment: "Fears of Witch-hunt Against Liverpool FC"

Liverpool defence is garbage. I like this being propelled. This should continue being a thing next season. Would be great.

There could be a back 4 of prime Baresi Maldini Nesta Costacurta and they’d be undone by an aimless hooked clearance from Lovren that would magically land to Salah on the break behind their back line. That lot in Europe defy all convention. The continents best team has won this trophy every year since 2005 but lo and behold guess who the first exceptions to that rule will be. Madrid and Bayern will find themselves falling at the wayside to utter pap like Alexander Arnold, Lovren, Robertson, Henderson, Milner, Wijnaldum. It genuinely defies logic but they make it happen.

Cursed club.
I do and I dont understand this mentality. Yes, we know they get all the luck going and it's understandable that with them being in the last 4 there's a concern they might go on to win it. However, this lot have won ONE major trophy in the last 30 years. ONE. They've won the EC once in the last 34 years.

And we need to acknowledge that the two favourites left in the last four dont include Liverpool - and Liverpool aren't likely to win it.

How many trophies can you win against City in one season?!?

My big take away from this is that City need a player with real backbone and character that can grab a game by the scruff of its neck if need be. Otherwise they'll keep stumbling in cup competitions.

Anyway it'll soon be time for the big questions at Big Stand HQ. Who is coming in for Salah/ Firmino/ Klopp? And of course who will be the replacements?

On here to see some salty tears. We played good. Reaching the semis is a big achievement coming from where we have been. Top 4 and a semi-final, I am happy with that. All else is bonus.
Just loving the hate from rivals today, means Liverpool are back being relevant.

If, sometime in the distant future, Everton have secured a top 4 place and a CL final and you find me gloating on a RS forum then everyone has my permission to kill me in the most painful way they can think of.

Pressure comes on to them now in a way. They weren't expected to get this far but now they have its a whole new ball game for a club that has a recent history of choking despite what they did 35 years ago

The slip, Villa semi, Gerrards farewell matches, losing the league cup on the prefered method of winning matches, Sevilla when winning. Then there is Klopp's own personal record. No team will take them lightly. Big ask for me to see them winning it

You kept saying they will be knocked out by Barca and Madrid easily as they have a much better experience side. Even before, you predicted City to dump Liverpool. Both Barca and City are dumped, Madrid and Bayern can face similar fortunes. Football is no as predictable as it seems to you.
Let's put it this way: dont get your open top bus sorted out just yet. You're a long way off that.

Bayern and Madrid will sort you out.

Loads asked the same question back in the seventies when KK departed. They're finished we said, the end of a dynasty. They replaced him with Kenny and it started again.
Much as I and many others dislike it, they're doing something right when one star moves on.

Well if they need any help, they can borrow Steve Walsh to scout out their Salah replacement.
