Just make sure when you reach that final in Kiev you keep your ticket well hidden. We all know what your pesky 'best fans in the world' are like - we don't want a repeat of 2007 do we?

However, this lot have won ONE major trophy in the last 30 years. ONE. They've won the EC once in the last 34 years.

And we need to acknowledge that the two favourites left in the last four dont include Liverpool - and Liverpool aren't likely to win it.

In 2001 they won 3 trophies you could argue they didn’t deserve any of them. 05 was ridiculous, as was the FA cup in 07, they should never have even been near the final of the CL in 07 either. Admittedly since then there’s been a bit of a karma slap and hopefully that will be administered once again in the semis or the final.

I barely remembered they'd won that year, let alone the manner in which they did.

Got battered from pillar to post by Arsenal in the FA cup, Owen scored from 2 long ball punts after Arsenal blew themselves out amazed they hadn’t won 5-0. Beat Birmingham City in the league cup final (laughably another championship side in the final) on penalties after not even being the better side. In the semi final of the uefa cup the red gave a pen for Roma, had a chat with a few Liverpool players then reversed it and gave a corner. They won the final against Alaves (another trash side in a final) thanks to an extra time own goal.

An absolutely ridiculous season kopite to a tee. As is the fact they’ve won 4 of their last 6 trophies on penalties, 2 of them against championship opposition.

Here in lies the problem. They never run out of luck and when they do the officials step in to help them out
 
Found this whopper post by a RS. Me sides are hurting.

Getting to the C L semi's and almost guaranteed finishing top 4 is more than I expected on the money we have paid out for players....Not bad for a club with a NET spend of approximately £20 million per season after selling and buying players since FSG took over ..In fact, its phenomenal !! £20 million NET spend is what the likes of WBA and Stoke spend ..and look where they are ...

I supppse when you ignore the 10s of millions difference in wage bills you can make ridiculous points like this.

Barcelona are City Mark 2. The goofy one is out of form and would probably have given in to sentiment at the Pit. They are only winning their own league because Real had a very poor start. They also miss Neymar's skill against the top teams when it matters. Would I have preferred Barca to Roma?. Probably but I would have liked them to get Madrid or Bayern in the semi's.
