ECHO Comment: "Fears of Witch-hunt Against Liverpool FC"

This, after smashing up the City coach, they should be playing behind closed doors. Not a chance of UEFA doing that before the end of the season though.

They wont because the Coach thing happened outside of the ground. City would be in charge of policing fans inside their ground so there's no chance of them playing behind closed doors at Anfield because of flares at the Etihad.

Plus, I can't imagine UEFA allowing the spectacle of the champions league semi finals to be sullied (*cough* sponsors wouldn't like it*) by having one of the legs of the business end of the competition played with an empty ground.

A quick google shows Legia Warsaw and Hadjuk Split recently playing behind closed doors against Real in a group game, and a UEFA cup qualifier respectively and both were cited for "racist behaviour" so I think it has to be pretty extreme. No doubt a 5 figure fine and a round of champagne on the sponsors will suffice.

Talksport making them favourites to win it lol

Saying they can’t see how the other teams will stop them. Well you’ve got Roma who clearly want it and can beat Barcelona.

Real where it’s going to save the managers job and apparently the fact they’ve won it the past 2 years doesn’t come into it. They’re also just “preparing for Ronaldo to wind down” so the fact he’s in the physical shape of a 23 year old and has scored in 12 consecutive CL games isn’t relevant.

Klopp apparently “knows” Bayern despite the fact he hasn’t managed in Germany for 3 years so that clearly cancels out all their players.

And they knocked out Man City who compared to 2 of the teams listed above are a pretend club who have been massively overrated by the media and have been poor in Europe since they cashed in.

They’re just not favourites though are they.

Can't really predict what's going to happen. The days of easily predicting who is going to win based on the better starting 11 is long gone.
Any of the 4 teams left can win it.

The good thing is, they will all buy into it and their fume on being knocked out will be all the more.
UEFA will not want these in the final, they will not take a chance on this lot ruining it.
Whoever they play they are going out, their opponents will get all 50/50 decisions.

Even though the City coach thing was outside the ground it was still the responsibility of the rs. Someone put the rulings up last week about it and what teams can be charged for.

If that was the case mate they wouldn't have hired such a crap ref for that 2nd leg. Nothing to do with UEFA, these will need to be knocked out fair and square because if it' left down to fair play or decisions going against them we'll be waiting a bloody long time.

Real Madrid semi final please and let the big boys show them how it's done

There have been some bizarre results, Barca going out to Roma even with a 3 goal advantage, Juve nearly taking Madrid to extra time from 4-1 down, Liverpool knocked the favourites out winning both legs. This Liverpool team is better than the one that won it in 2005 so of course they could win it but I doubt they will as experience does matter in the latter stages which obviously points to Madrid and Bayern as winners I think. Haven't watched Roma so not sure of their quality but knocking Barca out is a great result.

Hope you're right but we thought that about City the way they were playing before meeting the RS.
City v Liverpool was a derby at the end of the day. Madrid have three-in-a-row sown up now. Last night they slammed the door shut on any serious opposition.

RAWK conversation:

Rushyman - "I can tell you one fact, We won't be getting Roma. Nightmare legs for both police and UEFA plus they want Madrid v Munich final"

Alan X - "Why would 'they' want a Bayern v Real final? And who are 'they'?"

Rushyman - "UEFA as it's the showpiece final they're after. Don't want us or roma there with our flares and proper fans"

Ha Ha Ha.

These people walk among us. Truly terrifying.

Oh yeah, that's the Proper Fans who will square up to each other, no bother.. I suspect that Roma and Liverpool will NOT be meeting each other in the semi-finals. With any luck.. BM or RM in the semi for that lot.
