ECHO Comment: "Fears of Witch-hunt Against Liverpool FC"

Bayern have gone out in recent years against the top teams with European pedigree in numerous semi finals. Although it can be argued Bayern are the better team at present, I’d still prefer real to face the RS in the final, as no team in world club football has a better pedigree in big games. They just know how to get over the line in numerous big games.
I see either Bayern or Madrid beating them.

The situation is concerning, yes. However I can't be doing with all the fatalistic stuff being bandied about. You'd think Liverpool were going to meet either Garston Woodcutters or Croxteh RBL in the final rather than two heads of state of European football.

It's still very much an uphill struggle for Liverpool to win this tournament.

Madrid were abysmal against Juventus. Not to say that'll happen again but if they put in a shift like they did in that 2nd leg they'll get trounced.

Think they'll win it, myself. So I'm investing in a underground bunker for the garden.

That's fair enough to think they'll win it. I just don't know how anyone looks at who they'll play and believe all they have to do is turn up.

I can assure you that Munich 1860 fans and Atletico Madrid fans are currently saying: "FFS look who that lot have to face in the final, some one man pony outfit from Merseyside. We may as well pack up and hide in the Alps/Pyrenees all summer"

I feel for the guy and his family, so sad that a person goes to a game of football and this happens.

However, Liverpool football club, Klopp and the idiotic fans who gathered for the coach welcome have to hold their hands up and say that police resources should have been deployed elsewhere.
The club and Klopp should have put a stop to it and told fans not to gather because police needed to safeguard all fans, not just a coach. Instead they encouraged another gathering.

Having said that, whoever did this are nothing but vile thugs who have no place in society.

To be fair, the RS have previous in European competitions. Trouble just seems to happen doesn't it no matter where they go or who they play.

Correct mate.

Liverpool FC have encouraged this situation by telling their fans to crank up the atmosphere. They then panicked when they saw what was happening and asked politely for the mob to stay away from the scene. Not good enough. They should know all about their fans and how much they will use any excuse given to them to act outside any code of decency. UEFA need to act and should have done before. Order Liverpool to play behind closed doors for their group matches next season might focus their minds. It won't have any impact on the cult of course. They'll revel in the victim status.

Nah. Can’t see any other team as comfortably scoring as them sadly, they will win it and comfortably and deservedly so.

Don’t underestimate the effect Ramos has on real’s defence. He really is the glue that holds it together. He played in the first leg at juve and not in the return. Varane doesn’t look the same player without Ramos alongside him.

Hope Munich get to the final, they know how to shut up shop.
If Madrid make it to the final they are going to play a high line as they always do, it could go either way. It will be attack vs attack and see who comes out on top. It could be 5-0 to Madrid or just as easily be 5-0 to Liverpool.

I wish some of these 'experts' on here would stfu and stop assuring us they'll lose every round.

I keep reading the same posters banging on and on about whoever they've drawn will be a step too far for them etc yet they keep winning. Perhaps keeping ones gob shut for once may be a good idea?

I thought they'd lose in pretty much every tie in 2005 and we know what ended up happening that year.

Don’t worry he’ll be injured for the final
