ECHO Comment: "Fears of Witch-hunt Against Liverpool FC"

State of all teams left in the cl is shocking. High lines, teams cut in half by playing right through the middle ffs. Ronaldo saving himself and only running when he needs to, wtf is that about. Going from one end of the pitch to the other within a matter of seconds with no pressure, absolutely shocking.

Never seen a champions league with such poor quality as this before.
Football in general is currently suffering from a lack of quality. There hasn't been an outstanding team in Europe for a few years now.

Mediocre FC.

Christ knows what that makes us.

Mediocre FC was obviously levelled at the teams they have played so far in comparison to what they could have played. We all know we are absolutely sh!te, no need to elevate Liverpool. They have a thing which I absolutely envy, they turn up in big games, we never ever do, but come on let’s not get carried away, they are miles away from winning the league, and still haven’t faced a true European giant like Real, Barca, Juve, Atletico. Buzzing with Real winning last night, hope they finish the job, they are the ultimate big game side.

...and if Liverpool turn up with their usual defensive inadaquacies against Ronaldo and co......

Madrid are Madrid. Ronaldo doesn't do runners up medals.

That is perhaps the only solace. It’s a tough one. I actually think Bayern would be better suited to playing the RS as Heynckes knows Klopp inside out and Lewandowski is the sort of striker they struggle with. They’re also physically more capable and less likely to play out from the back.

On the other hand though they have a recent history of bottling big games and are in the process of bottling another semi so perhaps the ultimate big game team in Madrid, regardless of how streaky they look, are our best bet.

That Roma manager in the pot match prser said it wasn't th setup of 3 at th back with a high line why they lot but

Bayern are not bottling it,Like PSG they are seriously under cooked going into high pressure high tempo games.

Couple of weeks ago PSG beat 2nd placed Monaco 7-1,they won the league over a month ago and the french league is shockingly bad,no wonder Neymar is off in the summer as his sponsors and PR advisors want him want him back in La Liga asap.

And a few weeks ago Bayern beat Dortmund 6-0 who are in 3rd,their last few games in the league they have been thrashing teams scoring 5 and 6 goals and wrapped the league up weeks ago.

When Ribery and Robben in their mid 30's can boss a league and be starting in a semi final of the CL then you have serious problems winning the CL.

For all their domestic dominance the last 5 years both teams have floundered and underachieved in the CL,Bayern since they have last won the competition with that squad who have been the mainstay since the treble season (minus Kroos) should have added a 6th or 7th european cup but the weak opposition in the German league isn't giving them a competitive challenge weak in week out.

Bayern looked tired slow and ponderous last night,no spark or energy to their game and the squad is stale and needs a rebuild.

bayern have a lot of key injuries also

Pictures of loads of them standing on top of police vans, having a blatant disrespect for the authorities, but it’s never their fault.

I said it after they targeted city's bus with their blag ultra show that there now gonna be targets to the proper hardcore hooligans, so Romas ultras have come here looking for it, it's worrying because I seriously believe someone could get killed over there next week, have the echo condemned the bellends who where climbing all over the police vans, instead of policing the crowds they had to control the flare waving divs allowing a gang of hooligans to wonder round the streets near the ground
