ECHO Comment: "Fears of Witch-hunt Against Liverpool FC"

Liverpool have no chance against Madrid, with all their attacking prowess, Madrid has more and will prevail. Liverpool have no recent experience of big matches and they will fall well short of it. I predict 3-1 to Madrid.

I thought the Roma players wearing the t-shirts was class, then I seen the Nike logos and thought "big companies do anything for a bit of good publicity", why not a simple plain shirt. Cant see them failing tonight and I was not greatly impressed by Real in either leg but hope their experience can see get them over the line in the final.

Liverpool have faded badly recently.

Lost easily to United, Palace would've beaten them if Benteke wasn't a total donkey, City dominated both legs and but for officials not knowing the laws they'd be out, we should've beaten them, conceded two late goals to an awful West Brom, couldn't break down an awful Stoke team.

The 5-2 against Roma is a red herring. Roma were dominating and controlling the game until they scored (yet another) offside goal. Roma's heads go and the employ suicidal tactics trying to rescue the game. Liverpool fatigued badly and showed they aren't mentally strong conceding two late goals, and could've been more.

I hope they cling on tonight, they're going to get embarrassed in Kiev.

I saw Klopp has put a statement out saying he is sure that Mane and Salah will sign new contracts. I'm not at all convinced either of them will still be there next year. If Real or Barcelona come in with a massive bid for Salah especially, then there is no way the RS owners will turn that down. They will ostensibly drag their feet for a few weeks to make it look like they are doing their best to keep him, while knowing from the start that he's definitely going. Also a lot of deluded kopites seem to think Salah will turn down Real or Barca because he isn't Spanish or South American. Wishful thinking on their parts. Without Salah bailing them out constantly they would be mid-table fodder at best.

Tbf, as much as it pains me to say, he was the best midfielder of his generation, better than Scholes, my love <3

Nonsense. Scholes dictated the midfield of the best side in England. Gerrard player for himself in a team that never touched the title. They were showing videos of Scholes at La Masia whilst Gerrard was a tactical liability in virtually every team he was in.

whie i appreciate big fod was a quality player, imo we'd have been mile better and [probably have won something keeping gerrard on the left, beckham on the right scholes lampard and maybe hargeaves in the middle

Lot of ifs and buts there, Liverpool were the better team vs. all CL opponents so far. It was just natural that they will underperform in league due to lack of depth in the squad. However, Real Madrid will be too much for them, they lack experience and proven winners in the team, bare Milner.

No one is leaving this summer at least, it will be too much to take for fans. Especially in case of Salah who just joined the club. However, a year later is a different story if they don't win anything. Bad thing is they keep finding better replacements.
